The Keysight 86100D DCA-X is a wide bandwidth oscilloscope mainframe that performs precision measurements on high-speed digital designs from 50 MBd to more than 80 GBd, with up to 16 channels acquired simultaneously. The mainframe accepts a wide range of plug-in modules covering electrical, optical, optical/electrical, TDR/TDT, clock recovery, and precision waveform analysis, making it the platform around which complete Digital Communications Analyzer solutions are built.
Applications described in the datasheet include optical transceiver design and production test, electrical ASIC/FPGA/IC design and characterization, and serial bus characterization, measurement, and troubleshooting via TDR/TDT and S-parameter measurements of channels, cables, and PCBs. The DCA-X family is positioned for engineers working on eye diagram analysis, jitter analysis, PAM-N signaling, and compliance testing against published industry standards.
ValueTronics International has supplied new and pre-owned test and measurement equipment to engineering teams across aerospace, telecommunications, semiconductor, and high-speed digital design since 1992. Our 86100D DCA-X inventory is housed and serviced at our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois, where every unit is processed, inspected, and prepared by experienced technicians before shipment. For instruments of this complexity — wide-bandwidth oscilloscope mainframes with modular electrical, optical, and precision-timebase configurations — that hands-on verification step is the difference between buying with confidence and buying from a drop-shipper. Our team can also confirm installed options, module compatibility, and software licensing before the unit ships, which is information drop-ship listings rarely provide accurately.
The 86100D DCA-X traces its lineage through one of the most respected names in electronic test and measurement. Hewlett-Packard spun off its test and measurement business as Agilent Technologies in 1999. In 2014, Agilent further separated its electronic measurement division, which became Keysight Technologies. The 86100-series digital communications analyzer platform has continued forward across all three brand identities, with the 86100D representing the current generation of the mainframe under the Keysight name.
