LeCroy Corporation was founded in 1964 as LeCroy Research Systems, a manufacturer that focused on building oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and test equipment. In 2004, LeCroy purchased its competitor, Computer Access Technology Corporation, expanding its product line to include data analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, adapters, probes, and signal generators. In 2012, LeCroy agreed to an acquisition by Teledyne Technologies Inc., a major test equipment brand. Today, LeCroy operates under the moniker Teledyne LeCroy, a leading provider of test and measurement solutions.
