Haefely Test Equipment

Emil Haefely founded Haefely Test AG in 1904. The company grew swiftly, thanks to its patented design for resin-impregnated paper insulators. In 1922, the company expanded and became a market leader in the manufacture of electrical test equipment, capacitors, and bushings in high-voltage testing and insulation technologies. In 1962, the owner’s son split from Haefely to create Hipotronics, Inc. Hipotronics products were involved in the testing of almost every underground cable in the world. For decades, Haefely and Hipotronics were in fierce competition until they joined forces in 1999 under Hubbell. Today, consumers can purchase Haefely products used and refurbished at ValueTronics.
