The Tektronix TDS3000B Series is a family of Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes (DPOs) spanning nine models — the TDS3012B, TDS3014B, TDS3024B, TDS3032B, TDS3034B, TDS3044B, TDS3052B, TDS3054B and TDS3064B. Built around digital real-time (DRT) sampling technology, the series combines DPO acquisition, WaveAlert waveform anomaly detection, OpenChoice documentation and analysis solutions, and five application-specific modules in a lightweight, battery-capable design. Tektronix positions the line as delivering unmatched performance and portability at an affordable price.
An oscilloscope captures voltage waveforms over time, letting an engineer see a signal's amplitude, frequency, timing and shape. The TDS3000B Series is applied to digital design, debug and test; video installation and service; power supply design; education and training; telecommunications mask testing; and manufacturing test. A DPO adds a third dimension to that view — the distribution of amplitude over time — providing greater insight into complex signal behavior such as metastable events.
ValueTronics stocks test and measurement equipment in our own 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. That combination of real on-hand inventory and hands-on verification is what separates us from listings that route an order straight from an unseen third party.
Tektronix was founded in 1946 and operated as an independent public company for decades. It was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2007, and in 2016 became part of Fortive Corporation, a Danaher spin-off, where the Tektronix brand continues today.
The TDS3000B Series comprises nine Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope models that share a common architecture and differ primarily in bandwidth, channel count and per-channel sample rate. Tektronix offers the series across a wide range of bandwidths from 100 MHz to 600 MHz to suit projects of varying demand, while every model carries the same 10 K record length, 9-bit vertical resolution, DPO acquisition and WaveAlert anomaly detection.
Whether configured with 2 or 4 channels, each model combines digital real-time sampling with sin(x)/x interpolation and the same QuickMenu graphical interface, full VGA color display and OpenChoice connectivity, so the operating experience is consistent across the family.
Each model in the series below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the pre-owned listing for the specific model and channel count your application requires; the published specifications are identical between conditions, so the choice comes down to availability and budget.
The models differ chiefly in bandwidth and channel count: bandwidth steps through 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 MHz across the series, while channel count is either 2 or 4 depending on model. Per-channel sample rate scales with bandwidth, ranging from 1.25 GS/s on the 100 MHz models up to 5 GS/s on the higher-bandwidth models. The comparison table below lays out each model's bandwidth, channel count and sample rate.
Tektronix notes that an increase from 500 to 600 MHz bandwidth offers a 20% improvement in rise-time measurement accuracy. The bandwidth-limit selections also differ — 20 MHz on the 100 MHz models and selectable 20 or 150 MHz on the others — while the time-base range extends down to 1 ns/div on the higher-bandwidth models versus 4 ns/div on the 100 MHz models.
| Model | Bandwidth | Channels | Sample Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| TDS3064B | 600 MHz | 4 | 5 GS/s |
| TDS3012B | 100 MHz | 2 | 1.25 GS/s |
| TDS3014B | 100 MHz | 4 | 1.25 GS/s |
| TDS3024B | 200 MHz | 4 | 2.5 GS/s |
Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.

Important: Maximum input voltage: 150 VRMS CAT I (300 V CAT II with the standard 10X probe).
Important: Vectorscope does not support composite video.
Important: The TDS3SDI 601 Serial/Digital Video Module requires a 4-channel TDS3000B Series oscilloscope.
Important: The Comm trigger type requires the TDS3TMT Telecommunications Mask Testing module.
Important: Area, Cycle Area measurements, measurement statistics, and arbitrary math expressions require the TDS3AAM Advanced Analysis Module.
Important: Please specify power plug and manual version when ordering.
Important: Three year warranty covering all labor and parts, excluding probes.
Recommended pairing: the Tektronix AFG300 Series arbitrary function generator with ArbExpress waveform editing software pairs with the TDS3000B to provide both stimulus and acquisition for a complete measurement solution.
