The Tektronix TDS2000C Series is a family of digital storage oscilloscopes designed to deliver bench-grade waveform capture and analysis in a compact, lightweight form factor. The series spans seven models — TDS2001C, TDS2002C, TDS2004C, TDS2012C, TDS2014C, TDS2022C, and TDS2024C — covering bandwidths from 50 MHz to 200 MHz in both 2-channel and 4-channel configurations. Every model in the series uses Tektronix proprietary real-time sampling with a minimum of 10X oversampling on all channels simultaneously, so sampling performance is not reduced when multiple channels are active.

An oscilloscope captures voltage waveforms over time and displays them on a screen, letting an engineer visualize how a signal behaves — amplitude, frequency, timing, and shape. The TDS2000C Series is positioned for general-purpose bench work, troubleshooting, and basic design validation. According to the datasheet, advanced triggering — rising/falling edge, pulse width, and video — helps isolate signals of interest, and once a signal is captured, the built-in math capabilities and 16 automated measurements speed analysis for tasks such as measuring frequency, rise time, and other signal characteristics. The built-in Limit Test function is positioned for identifying problems in a signal, making the series suitable for manufacturing and service applications where Pass/Fail decisions need to be made quickly.

ValueTronics International, LLC stocks and ships the TDS2000C Series from our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Unlike drop-shippers or pass-through brokers who never physically handle the equipment they list, every unit in our inventory is received, inspected, and tested in-house by our technicians before it leaves the building. That direct physical control over inventory is what lets us answer condition questions accurately, ship quickly, and stand behind the units we sell.

Brand Heritage

Tektronix has been the long-recognized name in oscilloscope design since the company was founded in 1946 in Beaverton, Oregon. Tektronix was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2007, and in 2016 was transferred to Fortive Corporation when Fortive was spun off from Danaher. The Tektronix brand and its oscilloscope product lines, including the TDS series, have continued under Fortive ownership.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The TDS2000C Series is a seven-model family of digital storage oscilloscopes that share a common platform — same display, same record length (2.5k points), same vertical resolution (8 bits), same vertical sensitivity range (2 mV to 5 V/div), same time base accuracy (50 ppm), same trigger system, same connectivity, and the same physical footprint. What changes across the family is bandwidth, channel count, sample rate, and the available time base range. This shared platform means the operator experience — menus, Autoset behavior, Limit Test, Data Logging, USB workflow — is consistent regardless of which model is on the bench.

The seven models break into four bandwidth tiers: 50 MHz (TDS2001C), 70 MHz (TDS2002C and TDS2004C), 100 MHz (TDS2012C and TDS2014C), and 200 MHz (TDS2022C and TDS2024C). Within the 70 MHz, 100 MHz, and 200 MHz tiers, the choice is between a 2-channel and a 4-channel model. The 50 MHz TDS2001C is offered only as a 2-channel unit.

Each model below has its own dedicated product page with pre-owned-matched pricing and availability. Click through to the specific model that matches your bandwidth, channel count, and sample rate requirement to see the current listing for that unit.

The four bandwidth tiers correspond directly to the highest-frequency signal each model can accurately measure. The 50 MHz TDS2001C samples at 500 MS/s. The 70 MHz models (TDS2002C and TDS2004C) sample at 1.0 GS/s. The 100 MHz models (TDS2012C and TDS2014C) and the 200 MHz models (TDS2022C and TDS2024C) both sample at 2.0 GS/s.

Channel count is the second axis. The 2-channel models (TDS2001C, TDS2002C, TDS2012C, TDS2022C) cover applications where two signals need to be viewed simultaneously, including math operations such as CH1 – CH2, CH1 + CH2, and CH1 × CH2. The 4-channel models (TDS2004C, TDS2014C, TDS2024C) add a second math channel pair (CH3 – CH4, CH3 + CH4, CH3 × CH4) and double the on-instrument waveform storage from (2) 2.5k point reference waveforms to (4) 2.5k point reference waveforms. The comparison table on the product page lists every per-model spec the datasheet specifies so the right model can be picked against the application.

Model Bandwidth Channels Sample Rate
TDS2001C 50 MHz 2 500 MS/s
TDS2002C 70 MHz 2 1.0 GS/s
TDS2004C 70 MHz 4 1.0 GS/s
TDS2012C 100 MHz 2 2.0 GS/s

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
