The Tektronix TCP0030 is a high-performance AC/DC current probe designed for direct connection to the TekVPI probe interface without the need for an additional power supply. It is intended for use with Tektronix DPO7000 and DPO4000 Series oscilloscopes, providing greater than 120 MHz of bandwidth with selectable 5 A and 30 A measurement ranges, together with low-current measurement capability down to 1 mA.
Tektronix positions the TCP0030 for a broad set of current-measurement tasks, including power supplies, semiconductor devices, power inverters and converters, and electronic ballasts. It is also applied in industrial and consumer electronics, mobile communications, motor drives, and transportation systems.

Important: TCP0030 is powered directly by and connects to the DPO7000 and DPO4000 Series Oscilloscopes using the TekVPI interface; a compatible oscilloscope with the TekVPI probe interface is required and is not included.
Important: Minimum sensitivity of 1 mA requires an oscilloscope that supports the 1 mV/div setting; AC coupling requires an oscilloscope that supports AC/DC coupling.
Recommended pairing: for performance verification, use the Current Loop, 1 Turn, 50 Ω with BNC connector (order 015-0601-50) listed in the recommended accessories.
