The TESCOM TC-5060A/B is an economy UHF TEM cell designed to generate a consistent electromagnetic field for testing small RF devices. An external test signal applied through the input port produces a predictable TEM test field inside the cell, while radiation from a device transmitting inside the cell can be detected through the same port using a test receiver. The compact, economical design is optimized for medium-accuracy measurements beyond the standard TEM cell frequency range.

The principal documented difference between the TC-5060A and TC-5060B is the specified VSWR frequency range. The TC-5060A is rated for VSWR less than 1.7 from 400 MHz to 3 GHz, while the TC-5060B extends that VSWR specification down to 100 MHz, also rated less than 1.7 up to 3 GHz. Applications that include testing below 400 MHz, such as certain VHF/low-UHF wireless or paging frequencies, are addressed by the TC-5060B.
Supplied accessories also differ between the two models. Both units ship with the 4003-0005 DB25 data cable and the 4006-0002 N-type RF cable. The TC-5060B additionally includes a 1901-0002 SMA 50-ohm termination, listed in the datasheet as supplied with the TC-5060B only.
