The Tektronix TBS1000 Series is a family of digital storage oscilloscopes that deliver affordable performance in a compact design. The series spans 25 MHz, 40 MHz, 60 MHz, 100 MHz, and 150 MHz bandwidth models in both 2-channel and 4-channel configurations, each offering up to 1 GS/s sample rate and a 2.5k point record length on every channel. Standard features across the line include USB connectivity, 16 automated measurements, limit testing, data logging, and context-sensitive help, all presented on a 5.7 in. active TFT color display.
The TBS1000 Series is especially well suited to the needs of schools and universities. Packed with built-in tools, it is easy to learn and simple to operate, making it a fit for first-time oscilloscope users and students, who learn on the same user interface as the Tektronix TDS Oscilloscope Family. The built-in Limit Test function, which judges whether an input waveform stays within predefined boundaries and outputs Pass or Fail results, is described as an ideal solution for manufacturing or service applications where decisions need to be made quickly.
Every pre-owned unit we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. That combination of real, on-hand inventory and hands-on verification of used equipment is what separates us from sellers who never physically handle the instruments they list.
The Tektronix TBS1000 Digital Storage Oscilloscope Series is a line of eight models built to deliver affordable performance in a compact, lightweight design. Across the series, bandwidth options are offered at 25, 40, 60, 100, and 150 MHz in both 2-channel and 4-channel configurations, while a 2.5k point record length is shared by every model at all time bases.
Tektronix positions the series as well suited to schools and universities, with built-in tools, a familiar TDS-style user interface, and an included education resource CD designed to help first-time users and students learn oscilloscope operation. Each model below is a distinct product with its own specifications captured in the comparison table that follows.
Each pre-owned model below links to its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the bandwidth and channel configuration that fits your application, then choose the pre-owned unit listing that matches your requirements and budget.
The models differ primarily in bandwidth and channel count. The TBS1022 (25 MHz) and TBS1042 (40 MHz) are 2-channel models that sample at 500 MS/s, while the 60 MHz and higher models — the TBS1062, TBS1064, TBS1102, TBS1104, TBS1152, and TBS1154 — sample at 1 GS/s on each channel. Channel count is either two or four depending on the model, as shown in the comparison table.
The standard passive probe specified also differs by tier: the TPP0101 100 MHz probe is specified for the TBS1022, TBS1042, TBS1062, TBS1064, TBS1102, and TBS1104, while the higher-bandwidth TBS1152 and TBS1154 specify the TPP0201 200 MHz probe. Refer to the comparison table for the exact bandwidth, channel count, and sample rate of each model.
| Model | Bandwidth | Channels | Sample Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| TBS1152 | 150 MHz | 2 | 1.0 GS/s |
| TBS1022 | 25 MHz | 2 | 500 MS/s |
| TBS1042 | 40 MHz | 2 | 500 MS/s |
| TBS1062 | 60 MHz | 2 | 1.0 GS/s |
Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
| Specification | Value |
