Every EV-DO ATS includes the Spirent Wireless Channel Emulator (SR5500) with AWGN, and the TAS5048 and SR5068 Test Configuration Unit (TCU). These instruments provide the most integrated and powerful solutions available for evaluating Data Access Terminal receiver performance.
The Spirent Wireless Channel Emulator implements a superset of all RF channel conditions required for AT-MPS standard receiver testing, such as multi-path fading, delay spread, and path loss as well as Additive Gaussian White Noise (AWGN). Dynamic 3GPDP channel models characterize rake receiver performance.
The TAS5048 and SR5068 Test Configuration Units are controlled by TestDrive EV-DO to automatically select from a list of pre-defined test configurations. For systems integrated with the Spirent LTE test solutions, the SR8048 and SR8068 are also supported. These instruments eliminate the need to manually configure the system, optimizing test execution speed.
The TAS5048 Test Configuration Unit automatically manages the switching of RF connections required for EV-DO device testing. This allows EV-DO ATS to achieve the highest level of flexibility in test coverage.
Combined with the Agilent 3499B Logic/Control System, the TAS5048 is automatically controlled with TestDrive EV-DO software. Reconfiguring the EV-DO signaling path in EVDO ATS is automatically handled by TestDrive EV-DO.
