The R&S RTO/RTP-K130 option combines the R&S RTO/RTP-B7 pulse source and the analog input channels of the R&S RTO or RTP oscilloscope to create a time domain reflection (TDR) and transmission (TDT) analysis system that supports the characterization and debugging of signal paths, including PCB traces, cables and connectors. The option allows both single-ended and differential measurements.
The R&S RTO/RTP-B7 pulse source provides a highly symmetrical differential pulse signal with a steep rise time of 22 ps. This enables either single-ended or differential time domain reflection (TDR) and / or transmission (TDT) analysis with the R&S RTO or R&S RTP High-Performance oscilloscopes.

Guided operation
The TDR/TDT wizard guides the user in an initial step through the calibration of the test setup, which depends on the selected measurement type (TDR, TDR/TDT, TDT) and configuration (single-ended or differential. In the next steps the wizard supports the user with meaningful illustrations through the test setup and parameter definition for the measurement.
A wizard guides the user through the calibration of the TDR/TDT setup.
Fully integrated
The operation of the R&S RTP-K130 TDT/TDR analysis option and the R&S RTO/RTP-B7 pulse option are fully integrated in the oscilloscopes graphical user interface. The pulse option includes all accessories for calibration and measurement such as shorts, 50 Ohm terminations or cables. For differential measurements the low-loss and phase-matched cable pair R&S RT-Z17 is required.
