The Tektronix RSA6000 Series brings together a high-performance spectrum analyzer, a wideband vector signal analyzer, and the trigger-capture-analyze capability of a real-time spectrum analyzer in a single instrument. All analysis is fully preselected and image-free at all times, using broadband preselection filters that remain in the signal path so dynamic range and analysis bandwidth never have to be traded against each other. The series spans three models that share a common real-time architecture while reaching different upper frequency limits.
The series is applied to spectrum management for finding interference and unknown signals; radar and electronic warfare work requiring full characterization of pulsed and hopping systems; RF debug of components, modules, and systems; radio and satellite communications analysis of time-variant cognitive-radio and software-defined-radio behavior; EMI diagnostics to build confidence that designs will pass compliance testing; and Long Term Evolution (LTE) and cellular measurements.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned instrument is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units are supplied factory-sealed exactly as received. That combination lets buyers source the right configuration with confidence in both its condition and its availability.
The RSA6000 Series is offered in three models — the RSA6106B, RSA6114B, and RSA6120B — built on a shared real-time architecture. Across the series, each model provides the same 40 MHz real-time acquisition bandwidth (extendable to 110 MHz with Option 110), the same real-time trigger set, and the same 1 GB acquisition memory (4 GB with Option 53).
What separates the models is the upper end of their frequency coverage, all starting at 9 kHz. The choice between them is driven by the highest frequency a given application needs to reach, since the core acquisition, triggering, and DPX processing are common to all three.
Each model in the series is its own dedicated product page with pre-owned-condition pricing. Use the comparison table below to identify the model whose frequency coverage matches your application, then open that model's page to view current pre-owned availability.
The three models differ in their upper frequency limit: the RSA6106B reaches 6.2 GHz, the RSA6114B reaches 14 GHz, and the RSA6120B reaches 20 GHz, with all models starting at 9 kHz. The optional internal preamplifier also differs by model — Option 50 covers 1 MHz to 6.2 GHz with 20 dB gain on the RSA6106B, while Option 51 covers 100 kHz to 20 GHz with 30 dB gain on the RSA6114B and RSA6120B.
The RF input connector reflects the frequency range as well: the RSA6106B and RSA6114B use a Type-N female Planar crown RF input, while the RSA6120B uses a 3.5 mm male connector and ships with an SMA (m)-to-SMA (f) adapter. The comparison table that follows lists the per-model frequency ranges and related differences side by side.

Important: Maximum safe input level: +30 dBm average continuous (RF attenuation ≥10 dB, preamp off). Maximum DC voltage: ±40 V.
Important: A data storage option is mandatory: Options 56, 57, 59, and WinXP are mandatory/exclusive options — one of them must be ordered. There is no charge for Option 59, Internal HDD.
Important: Please specify power plug and language options when ordering.
Important: An internal preamplifier is required for the Noise Figure and Gain measurement option (Opt. 14): the datasheet notes 'Internal preamp recommended'. The preamp is a separately ordered hardware option (Opt. 50 for RSA6106B; Opt. 51 for RSA6114B and RSA6120B).
Important: Opt. 24 (WLAN 802.11n) requires Opt. 23; Opt. 25 (WLAN 802.11ac) requires Opt. 24.
Usage tip: pair the analyzer with the Tektronix RTPA2A Spectrum Analyzer Probe Adapter to connect TekConnect active and differential probes (P7225 through the P7500 Series) for RF probing.
