The Tektronix PWS4000 Series is a family of programmable linear DC power supplies. A wide current and voltage range combined with flexible features makes the series a versatile addition to the bench, delivering the output a design specifies quickly and precisely. All five models share linear regulation, an overvoltage protection circuit, and the familiar front-panel operation Tektronix builds into its bench instruments.
The series generates controlled DC power for a device under test. Setting an appropriate current limit can be critical for preventing damage to the device under test, and the numeric keypad lets you specify that limit precisely before a test begins, with the limit always visible on the display. List mode and the USB port for remote programming are provided to accelerate complex test development.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave our warehouse factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
The PWS4000 Series comprises five programmable linear DC power supplies that share a single feature set and differ in their output voltage and current ratings. Across the family, a wide current and voltage range and flexible features make the series a versatile addition to the bench.
All models include the same core capabilities: an adjustable overvoltage protection circuit, remote sense, List mode, 40 setup memories, a bright vacuum fluorescent display, and a USBTMC device port for remote programming. Choosing a model is primarily a matter of matching the voltage and current your application requires.
Each model below links to its own dedicated product page with pre-owned pricing. Select the model whose voltage and current rating matches your application, then choose the available condition on that model's page.
The five models differ chiefly in output rating: voltage ranges from 0–20 V on the lowest model up to 0–72 V on the highest, while current ratings reach up to 5 A on the lower-voltage models and step down as the voltage rating rises. Maximum output power falls between 86 W and 150 W depending on the model.
Physical size is common across the series at 88 mm × 214 mm × 355 mm, with weight varying from 9.0 kg to 9.6 kg and rated power consumption of either 250 VA or 350 VA depending on the model. The comparison table below lists each model's voltage, current, power, and related specifications side by side.
| Model | Output Voltage | Output Current | Maximum Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| PWS4305 | 0 to 30 V | 0 to 5 A | 150 W |
| PWS4205 | 0 to 20 V | 0 to 5 A | 100 W |
| PWS4323 | 0 to 32 V | 0 to 3 A | 96 W |
| PWS4602 | 0 to 60 V | 0 to 2 A | 150 W |
