The Hioki PW3335 is a single-phase AC/DC power meter designed for high-accuracy measurement spanning standby power through full operating power. The instrument provides a wide measurable range from 10 µA to 30 A on the current input and 60 mV to 1000 V on the voltage input, with basic accuracy specified at ±0.1% for voltage, current, and power. Frequency bandwidth covers DC and 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz, with built-in harmonic measurement to the 50th order.

Applications listed in the datasheet include measurement of AC adapter standby power on both primary-side AC and secondary-side DC, characterization of power supply conversion devices such as inverters and thyristors, and measurement of solar panels and power converters using the 1000 V range. The PW3335 is also positioned for evaluation and development of power sources for home appliances, for input and output measurement of secondary batteries in EVs, and for measuring the sold power of solar panels, with power consumption and regeneration power integrated separately.

ValueTronics stocks the PW3335 family alongside Hioki current sensors, sensor units, and the connection accessories required for full system deployment. All inventory is housed and processed at our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois, where instruments are inspected and verified before shipment. Unlike pass-through brokers and drop-shippers, we maintain the instrument in-house, which means availability questions, configuration confirmations, and accessory compatibility checks are answered against units we can physically reference.

Brand Heritage

Hioki E.E. Corporation has operated as an independent Japanese precision measurement manufacturer since 1935, headquartered in Ueda, Nagano. The company has not been absorbed into a larger conglomerate, and the Hioki brand has remained continuous on the PW-series power meter line through its successive generations.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The PW3335 family is a single product platform offered in five configurations that differ only in installed interface and input options. The base PW3335 includes LAN and RS-232C. The PW3335-01 substitutes GP-IB for RS-232C. The PW3335-02 adds D/A output to the base LAN and RS-232C configuration.

All five variants share the same measurement engine: identical voltage and current ranges, identical accuracy specifications, identical frequency bandwidth, identical harmonic measurement capability, and identical synchronized control of up to 8 units. The selection decision is driven entirely by the interface and input requirements of the user's bench or automated test system.

Each new PW3335 variant below links to its own product page with condition-matched pricing. The model number is the determinant of which interfaces and inputs ship with the unit; the underlying measurement instrument is the same across the family.

The differences between the five variants are interface-specific. LAN is included on every model. RS-232C is included on every model except the PW3335-01 (which substitutes GP-IB). GP-IB is included only on the PW3335-01 and PW3335-04.

Buyers building automated test systems on GP-IB infrastructure typically select the PW3335-01 or PW3335-04. Buyers requiring analog output to a data logger or Memory HiCorder typically select the PW3335-02 or PW3335-04. Buyers measuring current above the 30 A direct-input range — using Hioki clamp-on or AC/DC current sensors for measurements up to 5000 A AC — require the PW3335-03 or PW3335-04. The PW3335-04 is the all-options variant for users who need GP-IB, D/A output, and external current sensor input together.
