The B&K Precision PVS Series comprises high power programmable DC power supplies — the PVS10005, PVS60085, and PVS60085MR — delivering clean output power up to 5.1 kW with excellent regulation and fast transient response in an industry-leading 2U package. The series pairs high programming resolution with multiple remote interfaces for test systems and a built-in SAS (solar array simulator) function for generating photovoltaic I-V curves, serving both benchtop operators and system integrators.

These supplies are well suited for both bench use and ATE systems integration, spanning R&D, design verification, production test, and high voltage testing. Their low-noise characteristic makes them suited to motor inverter testing, and when operated with the optional SAS software they support solar array testing applications such as validating a solar inverter's MPPT algorithm and testing to EN50530 and Sandia Labs standards.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, so the instrument you order is on hand and ready to ship. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it leaves our facility, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer. That combination of held inventory and verified used stock lets engineers source the right configuration with confidence.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The PVS Series brings together three high power programmable DC power supplies — the PVS10005, PVS60085, and PVS60085MR — that share a common 2U architecture, single-phase AC input, and full standard interface set while differing in their output ratings. All three deliver clean output power with excellent regulation, fast transient response, a built-in solar array simulator function, and the same protection and remote-control feature set.

Choosing within the family comes down to the voltage, current, and power envelope your application requires: the series offers a 1000 V tier and a 600 V tier, with one of the 600 V models available as a multi-ranging supply. Each model below links to its own product page where its exact ratings and condition-matched pricing are shown.

Each pre-owned model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model whose output ratings fit your application, then review its page for current availability and pricing in the condition you need.

The models differ primarily in output ratings. The PVS10005 provides 0–1000 V and 0–5 A with 5000 W maximum output power, while the PVS60085 provides 0–600 V and 0–8.5 A with 5100 W maximum output power. The PVS60085MR shares the 600 V / 8.5 A ratings but is a multi-ranging supply, allowing any combination of rated voltage and current up to a 3000 W maximum output power. Voltage and current resolution is 0.1 V / 0.1 mA on the PVS10005 and 10 mV / 0.2 mA on both 600 V models.

Other specifications track these tiers, including maximum rated input power (5800 VA for the PVS10005 and PVS60085, 3500 VA for the PVS60085MR), OVP adjustment range, and rise/fall times. See the comparison table for the per-model values of output rating, regulation, resolution, accuracy, and rated input power.

Model Max Output Voltage Max Output Current Max Output Power
PVS10005 1000 V 5 A 5000 W
PVS60085 600 V 8.5 A 5100 W
PVS60085MR 600 V 8.5 A 3000 W

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.
