The Keysight N5244B and N5245B are PNA-X microwave network analyzers offered in two- and four-port test-set configurations. The N5244B covers 10 MHz to 43.5 GHz and the N5245B covers 10 MHz to 50 GHz, with both providing 1 Hz frequency resolution and ±0.7 ppm frequency accuracy. They measure the magnitude and phase response of microwave components and form the platform for a range of source, receiver, and software configurations.
These analyzers characterize active and passive microwave components. The published specifications cover amplifier measurements — noise figure, gain compression, and swept intermodulation distortion — as well as frequency-converter (mixer) measurements including scalar mixer conversion with phase, converter noise figure, converter gain compression, and converter swept intermodulation distortion. Absolute, single-channel residual, and two-channel residual phase-noise and AM-noise sensitivity are also specified, along with group-delay measurement.
ValueTronics keeps its inventory in-house, stocking and holding test-and-measurement equipment in our own 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified by our technicians before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
Keysight Technologies traces its test-and-measurement heritage to Hewlett-Packard, whose measurement business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. Agilent's electronic measurement division then became Keysight Technologies in 2014, the name under which the PNA-X analyzers are produced today.
The PNA-X family on this page comprises two microwave network analyzers built on a common platform: the N5244B, which spans 10 MHz to 43.5 GHz, and the N5245B, which spans 10 MHz to 50 GHz. Both are offered in two-port and four-port test-set configurations and share the same receiver architecture, IF bandwidth range, display, and remote-control interfaces.
Beyond base frequency coverage, each model is available with a range of option configurations that add source and receiver attenuators for extended power range, an internal second source with combiner and mechanical switches, bias-tees, and high-accuracy noise-figure hardware (Option 029). A low frequency extension option (Option 425), available on the N5245B, lowers the start frequency to 900 Hz.
Each model linked below has its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the pre-owned listing that matches the model and frequency coverage your application requires; the comparison table summarizes how the models differ so you can confirm the right configuration before ordering.
The primary difference between the two models is upper frequency limit: the N5244B reaches 43.5 GHz while the N5245B reaches 50 GHz. The low frequency extension (Option 425), which lowers the start frequency to 900 Hz (500 Hz typical), is specified for the N5245B only.
Within each model, the option suffix indicates the test-set configuration: two-port options begin with 2 (for example 201, 217, 219, 222, 224) and four-port options begin with 4 (for example 401, 417, 419, 422, 423). Higher option numbers add capabilities such as source and receiver attenuators, an internal second source with combiner and switches, and bias-tees. Refer to the comparison table for the configuration and frequency details of each listing.

Important: Published specifications and characteristics apply over a 25 °C ±5 °C temperature range (unless otherwise stated) and 90 minutes after the instrument is powered on.
Important: The Corrected System Performance with Cal Kits and Dynamic Accuracy Charts apply ONLY to N5244B/45B models with serial numbers starting with MY5244/45, SG5244/45, and US5244/45, and above.
Important: Corrected (calibrated) measurements assume an N4697F flexible test port cable and a full 2-port calibration; the document provides calibration-kit specifications for the 85056A, 85056D, N4693A and N4693D kits and the N4693A 2-Port ECal module. These calibration kits and the test port cable are required to make corrected measurements and are not part of the analyzer's standard delivery — order the appropriate kit and cable separately.
Important: With Option 425 (low frequency extension, N5245B only) and LFE enabled, measurements from 500 Hz to 100 MHz use LFE hardware; to measure below 10 MHz, LFE must be enabled. All measurements above 100 MHz use standard hardware regardless of the LFE enabled/disabled setting.
