The Keysight N3300 Series is a family of modular DC electronic loads built around two mainframes and six interchangeable load modules. Designed to sink and dissipate power from a device under test, these loads let engineers exercise power supplies, DC-to-DC converters, and battery chargers without building custom dissipation hardware. The series emphasizes fast command processing—commands are handled more than ten times faster than previous-generation loads—along with configurable measurement and stable operation across a wide operating envelope.

Intended applications across the series include high-volume manufacturing test, where the goal is to maximize production throughput without expanding floorspace. Specific listed uses include testing low-voltage power supplies down to zero volts, testing multiple-output DC power supplies and DC-to-DC converters, and validating high-current supplies by operating load modules in parallel for additional current-sinking capability. The loads also serve as the programmable load element in power supply and battery charger test systems, with a DC connection terminal provided for ATE applications.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. That combination lets engineers source the right mainframe-and-module configuration with confidence in both availability and condition.

Brand Heritage

Keysight Technologies traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, whose test and measurement business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. Agilent's electronic measurement division was then established as Keysight Technologies in 2014, the corporate name under which this product line is sold today.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The N3300 Series is built as a modular system of two mainframes and six load modules. The full-rack N3300A provides six slots and the half-rack N3301A provides two, and any assortment of modules can be installed up to each mainframe's slot capacity. This lets a single platform be tailored to a specific mix of power, current, and voltage requirements.

Four modules each occupy a single slot, while the two highest-power modules each occupy two slots. Because modules can be added or swapped, the same mainframe can grow or change as test requirements evolve, and modules can be operated in parallel to increase total current-sinking capability.

Each model below links to its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Whether you need a new mainframe or a new load module, select the specific model that matches your configuration to see its current availability and price.

The modules differ primarily in maximum power, input current, and input voltage. Maximum power per module ranges from 150 W up to 600 W, input current from 0–10 A up to 0–120 A, and input voltage from 0–60 V up to 0–240 V. The comparison table below lists each module's ratings side by side.

Slot count is the other key difference: the single-slot modules pack into either mainframe more densely, while the two 2-slot modules deliver the highest power and current at the cost of additional mainframe space. Selecting a module is a matter of matching its current, voltage, and power envelope to the supply or converter under test.

Important: Maximum continuous power is derated linearly from 100% of maximum at 40 °C to 75% of maximum at 55 °C.
Important: The N3302A through N3307A are plug-in load modules that require an N3300A (6-slot) or N3301A (2-slot) mainframe to operate; the mainframe is not included with a module and must be ordered separately.
Important: No service manual is available for this product.
Important: Calibration interval is one year for modules; the N3300A and N3301A mainframes do not require calibration.
Important: Below 3 volts, the maximum bandwidth of the electronic load is reduced by a factor of ten to one; a fast pulse train with large transitions in transient mode may not be achievable at low voltages because the reduced slew rate can prevent the load from reaching the upper programmed value.
Important: Specifications may degrade when the unit is subject to an RF field of 3 V/meter, line spikes of 500 V, or an 8 kV electrostatic discharge.
Important: DC current accuracy specifications apply 30 seconds after input current is applied.
