The HT Italia HT4004 is a 10/100A AC/DC transducer in a rigid clamp form factor. It measures current from 0.1 A to 100 A AC/DC and converts the measured current into a proportional low-level voltage output, with a maximum output signal of 1 V AC/DC delivered into a minimum external load of 10 kΩ. The output follows a fixed scaling ratio so the host instrument reads current as a clean voltage signal.
A clamp-style current transducer lets a user measure current without breaking the circuit, by closing the jaws around a conductor and sensing the field it produces. The HT4004 outputs a scaled voltage suitable for feeding a measuring instrument, and its accuracy is characterized for both DC and AC current as well as for AC power measurement at stated power-factor conditions.

Important: The clamp introduces a phase error of about 3 degrees, which adds approximately 3% rdg error on AC power measurement at cosφ = 0.866 and about 9% rdg at cosφ = 0.5.
