The Keysight E5081A ENA-X is a vector network analyzer that brings network analysis, signal analysis, and a configurable switch matrix together in a single instrument. Built-in low noise receivers and a configurable test set, paired with modulated-signal measurement capability, let an engineer characterize high-performance components through a single connection rather than juggling a separate network analyzer, signal analyzer, and switch matrix. Software wizards guide the operator through advanced wideband measurement setups.
Characterizing components such as power amplifiers and frequency converters demands more than standard S-parameter measurements — these devices also call for high-sensitivity and high-power performance characterization, along with modulated-signal tests such as EVM and ACPR. The E5081A is built to perform this full range of system characterization with faster speeds and greater flexibility, consolidating measurements that would otherwise require multiple instruments and additional measurement-error potential.
ValueTronics stocks and holds the E5081A in our own 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Holding inventory directly lets us manage condition closely: every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house by our technicians, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
Keysight Technologies traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, whose test and measurement business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. Agilent's electronic measurement division then became the independent Keysight Technologies in 2014, the name that carries this instrument line today.

Important: Above 40 GHz, an external bandpass filter may be required for noise figure measurements.
Important: Spectrum analysis functionality requires S960904B (for 20 GHz options) or S960907B (for 44 GHz options) software to enable.
Important: Pulsed-RF measurement functions require S96024xB or S96025xB software to enable.
Important: Enhanced time domain analysis with TDR requires S96011B software to enable.
Important: Corrected system performance requires a Mechanical Calibration Kit or Electronic Calibration (ECal) Module; for 4-port E5081A and other calibration kits, download the Uncertainty Calculator from http://www.keysight.com/find/na_calculator to generate uncertainty curves for the specific calibration kit.
Recommended pairing: achieve the E5081A's corrected system performance specifications using a Keysight mechanical calibration kit or an N4691D/N4693D Electronic Calibration (ECal) module.
