The Keysight E36200 Series is a family of autoranging bench DC power supplies built to deliver 200 to 400 W of power on the bench. The series comprises four models: the single-output E36231A (30 V, 20 A, 200 W) and E36232A (60 V, 10 A, 200 W), and the dual-output E36233A (30 V, 20 A, 400 W) and E36234A (60 V, 10 A, 400 W). Autoranging technology gives the highest current available at all output voltages within a model's rating, so a single supply covers a wider combination of voltage and current settings than a fixed-range design.
A DC power supply provides controlled, regulated electrical power to a device under test, letting an engineer set a precise voltage and current limit and power a circuit during design, characterization, or verification. The E36200 Series is intended for bench applications that require power up to 400 W. A single-output supply can power a device requiring less than 200 W, while the dual-output models can power two devices simultaneously or power multiple analog and digital circuitries from one instrument.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, which lets us support both new and used test-and-measurement equipment from one location. That combination of held inventory and hands-on verification on used equipment is how we help engineers and labs get the right instrument in known condition.
Keysight Technologies traces its roots to the test-and-measurement business of Hewlett-Packard, which was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. That measurement business was then established as Keysight Technologies in 2014, the brand under which this product line is offered today.
The Keysight E36200 Series is a family of autoranging bench DC power supplies offered in four models that share a common architecture but differ in output ratings and the number of outputs. The E36231A and E36232A are single-output 200 W supplies, while the E36233A and E36234A are dual-output 400 W supplies. Across the family, autoranging technology provides the highest available current at all output voltages within each model's rating.
All four models share the same core capabilities: low output ripple and noise, 2-wire and 4-wire sensing, OVP/OCP/OTP protection, a 4.3-inch LCD color display, data logging, LIST mode, and standard LAN and USB connectivity with optional GPIB. The choice between models comes down to the voltage and current envelope your application needs and whether you require one output or two.
Each new model in the E36200 Series is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing, so you can select the exact model and configuration your application requires. Use the comparison below to identify the right model, then open that model's page to see new-condition availability.
The models differ first by voltage and current envelope: the E36231A and E36233A provide 30 V at up to 20 A, while the E36232A and E36234A provide 60 V at up to 10 A. They also differ by output count and total power — the E36231A and E36232A are single-output 200 W supplies, while the E36233A and E36234A are dual-output 400 W supplies whose two outputs are independently controllable and fully isolated.
On the dual-output models, the two outputs can be combined in series or parallel from the front panel: the E36233A reaches 40 A in parallel mode and the E36234A reaches 120 V in series mode. The E36231A and E36232A are additionally code compatible with the E3633A and E3634A to assist migration. See the comparison table for the per-model voltage, current, power, and resolution figures.

Important: Remote sense maximum voltage in load lead: 0.7 V.
Important: The E36200 Series ships standard with LAN (LXI) and USB interfaces; GPIB is an available option (Option E363GPBU, user-installable interface module).
Important: Low range current spec applies for ≤100 mA on the E36231A and E36233A, and ≤50 mA on the E36232A and E36234A; tested at constant voltage mode.
Important: Auto-series and auto-parallel operation on the dual-output models internally combines the two outputs to double the rating: up to 120 V (E36234A) in series mode and up to 40 A (E36233A) in parallel mode.
