The Keysight DSO6104L is a 1 GHz, 4-channel digital storage oscilloscope in the InfiniiVision 6000L Series, designed as a low-profile, high-density 1U (4.45 cm / 1.75 inch) rack-mount instrument. The 6000L Series is described by Keysight as the most space efficient and affordable LXI Class C compliant oscilloscope family, providing four analog channels in only 1U of rack space with side and rear air vents (no top or bottom vents) so other instruments can be mounted directly above or below. Rack mount brackets and rack rails are included standard with every unit.

The 6000L Series is purpose-built for automated test systems. Because it is 100% software compatible with the InfiniiVision 6000A Series portable oscilloscopes, engineers can develop test routines on the bench-top 6000A during R&D and then transition the same software unchanged to the system-optimized 6000L in manufacturing — saving cost and rack space by moving from a standard bench-top oscilloscope to a 1U oscilloscope without a display. The instrument supports easy system integration through an included IVI-COM driver, SCPI commands, and the Keysight I/O Library Suite, simplifying configuration even when the system includes instruments from other vendors.

Brand Heritage

Keysight Technologies traces its test and measurement heritage to Hewlett-Packard. HP spun off its test and measurement division as Agilent Technologies in 1999, and Agilent further separated its electronic measurement business as Keysight Technologies in 2014. Instruments such as the InfiniiVision 6000L Series carry forward this Hewlett-Packard through Agilent to Keysight engineering lineage.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The Keysight InfiniiVision 6000L Series consists of three 4-channel low-profile rack-mount oscilloscopes that share an identical 1U mechanical package, identical connectivity (USB, LAN, GPIB, XGA video output), and identical 8 Mpts of standard MegaZoom III deep memory. The three models differ primarily in analog bandwidth and corresponding sample rate, allowing system integrators to select the bandwidth tier required for their specific signals while maintaining a consistent rack form factor and software interface across all three.

All three models in the family are LXI Class C compliant, 100% software compatible with the InfiniiVision 6000A Series portable oscilloscopes, and share the same option set (MSO upgrade, Secure Environment Mode, protocol decode options, segmented memory, and mask testing). This commonality means a test system designed around any 6000L model can be upgraded or reconfigured to a different bandwidth tier without rewriting test software or changing rack layouts.

Each model below is its own dedicated product page with pre-owned-matched pricing. The comparison table that follows is provided to help you select the bandwidth tier that fits your application; once you identify the right model, click through to its individual page for pre-owned-specific availability, included accessories, and the formal quote process.

The DSO6104L is the highest-bandwidth model in the 6000L family, offering 1 GHz analog bandwidth with 4 GSa/s sample rate in half-channel mode (2 GSa/s per channel). Its time base extends to 500 psec/div, and at slower time bases the 8 Mpts of MegaZoom III deep memory enables 2 ms full-rate captures in single-channel mode at 4 GSa/s. Input impedance is selectable between 1 MΩ ± 1% || 14 pF and 50 Ω ± 1.5%, and the AutoProbe interface supports active and current probes with automatic probe sensing.

The three 6000L Series models differ across three correlated specifications: analog bandwidth (DSO6014L at 100 MHz, DSO6054L at 500 MHz, DSO6104L at 1 GHz), maximum sample rate (DSO6014L at 2 GSa/s; DSO6054L and DSO6104L at 4 GSa/s half-channel / 2 GSa/s each channel), and minimum time base setting (DSO6014L at 5 nsec/div, DSO6054L at 1 nsec/div, DSO6104L at 500 psec/div). Peak detection capability also differs: 1 nsec on the DSO6014L versus 250 psec on the DSO6054L and DSO6104L.

Input impedance options vary across the family as well. The DSO6014L provides 1 MΩ ± 1% || 11 pF input only (with four 50 Ω termination adapters supplied), while the DSO6054L and DSO6104L offer selectable 1 MΩ ± 1% || 14 pF or 50 Ω ± 1.5% input impedance. The DSO6054L and DSO6104L also include the AutoProbe interface for automatic probe identification. Refer to the comparison table for the complete side-by-side specification view.

Model Bandwidth Analog Channels Max Sample Rate
DSO6014L 100 MHz 4 2 GSa/s
DSO6104L 1 GHz 4 4 GSa/s
DSO6054L 500 MHz 4 4 GSa/s

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.

Four 50 Ω termination adapters are supplied with the DSO6014L instead. Select appropriate probes from the recommended accessories list as required for the measurement application.Important: The MSO option requires an MSO upgrade kit (N2914A for DSO6014L, N2915A for DSO6054L/6104L), which includes a 54620-68701 logic cable kit, a label, and an upgrade key code to activate the MSO features.Important: All models include a standard 1-year warranty. Contact local sales office for prices of extended warranty and calibration options.Recommended pairing: the DSO6104L ships with one 10073C 10:1 500 MHz passive probe per scope channel. For high-frequency active probing the datasheet lists the 1156A 1.5 GHz active probe with AutoProbe interface as a compatible accessory.
