The RIGOL DM3058 is a 5½-digit digital multimeter built around a dual-display architecture and designed for high-precision, multifunction, and automatic measurement. Its dual-display function presents two characteristics of a single signal simultaneously, doing the work that once required two separate multimeters or two sequential measurements.

Its documented application set spans research and development laboratories, scientific research and education, detection and maintenance, quality test, and automatic production test. Preset configuration modes simplify operator workflow on a production line, where ten groups of preset configurations can be stored and recalled, while the dual-display and full measurement set serve bench characterization work equally well.

It is the model identified as the first 5½-digit digital multimeter to pass the LXI Criterion, conforming to LXI Class C, Version 1.1, and it supports web-page virtual-panel remote control.

The single functional difference between the two models is connectivity: the DM3058 supports LAN and GPIB interfaces while the DM3058E does not. Both share USB Device, USB Host, and RS-232C. LXI Class C compatibility and web-based remote control likewise apply to the DM3058.

Buyers whose workflow relies on LAN-based system integration, web-panel remote control, or GPIB bus control should select the DM3058; where those interfaces are not required, the DM3058E offers the identical measurement capability over USB and RS-232C.
