The B&K Precision DAS30, DAS50, and DAS60 are portable high-speed multi-function recorders designed to capture mixed signals — voltage, current, temperature, frequency, and logic data — using a common time base. Each model features isolated universal analog channels rated CAT III 600 V, allowing direct connection to high-voltage power systems without external isolation hardware. The DAS30 provides 2 channels, the DAS50 provides 4, and the DAS60 provides 6, with all models sharing the same 14-bit resolution, 10-inch TFT touchscreen, and built-in solid state memory architecture.
These recorders are specified for measuring signals ranging from small sensors to large electrical systems, maintenance and failure analysis, and power analysis of single-phase and three-phase systems. Each channel can simultaneously record a different signal type, supporting applications that require correlated capture of high-voltage waveforms, thermocouple temperature, Pt100/Pt1000 RTD inputs, and logic states on a single instrument. The 100 kHz bandwidth and fast sampling intervals (down to 1 µs in memory mode on the DAS50) make these recorders suitable for capturing transient events that slower data loggers would miss.
B&K Precision Corporation is a US-based test and measurement instrument manufacturer founded in 1951 and headquartered in Yorba Linda, California. The DAS30, DAS50, and DAS60 are manufactured by Sefram, a French test and measurement company, and are co-branded under both the Sefram and B&K Precision names for the North American market — the front panel displays "Sefram HANDHELD RECORDER" alongside the B&K Precision logo. This Sefram/B&K Precision co-branding reflects the long-standing distribution and partnership relationship between the two companies, and units in service may carry either brand identification while sharing identical specifications and software (Sefram Viewer and Sefram Pilot).
The DAS30, DAS50, and DAS60 share a common hardware platform, user interface, and measurement architecture. All three feature 14-bit resolution, the 10-inch TFT touchscreen, CAT III 600 V isolated universal channels, 16 logic inputs, the same connectivity stack (dual USB host, LAN, VNC), and the same Sefram Viewer and Sefram Pilot software. The differences between models center on channel count, maximum sampling speed, internal memory capacity, included Pt100/Pt1000 inputs, and the scope of supported power analysis configurations.
Selecting between these models is primarily a question of how many simultaneous signals must be recorded, what speed of transient must be captured, whether three-phase Star or 400 Hz power analysis is required, and whether dedicated Pt100/Pt1000 RTD inputs are needed at the time of purchase versus added later. The comparison table below summarizes the specification differences that drive the model selection decision.
Each new DAS-family model below is its own product page with condition-matched pricing, condition-matched documentation, and condition-matched availability. The model comparison below identifies which recorder fits a given measurement requirement; the individual product pages confirm what specific unit is currently in inventory and what its condition documentation reports.
The DAS30 (2 channels) is the entry point to the family and is appropriate for two-channel voltage, current, or temperature recording with single-phase power analysis at 50/60 Hz. The DAS50 (4 channels) adds two more universal channels, raises the maximum sampling rate to 1 µs (1 MSa/s) in memory mode, and adds three-phase Delta (Aron) power analysis capability. The DAS60 (6 channels) provides the widest channel count, doubles internal solid state memory to 64 GB, includes the two Pt100/Pt1000 RTD inputs as standard, adds three-phase Star configuration and 400 Hz power analysis, and adds PWM analysis.
Pt100/Pt1000 inputs and the 110 mm thermal printer are factory-installed options on the DAS30 and DAS50 (model suffixes -T for Pt100/Pt1000, -P for printer, -PT for both); these cannot be added in the field after purchase. Buyers who anticipate needing RTD temperature inputs or hard-copy printed records should specify the correct variant at the time of order. Refer to the model differences table for the exact feature mapping by model and suffix.
