The Tektronix AFG3000C Series is a family of arbitrary/function generators covering sine waveform output from 10 MHz to 240 MHz across six bandwidth tiers and both single-channel and dual-channel configurations. The series produces twelve standard waveforms — sine, square, pulse, ramp, triangle, Sin(x)/x, exponential rise and decay, Gaussian, Lorentz, Haversine, DC, and noise — and supports user-defined arbitrary waveforms up to 128 K in length with 14-bit vertical resolution. Each unit features a 5.6 inch color TFT display, multi-language operation, and a highly stable timebase specified at ±1 ppm aging per year.
The datasheet identifies four application areas for the pre-owned AFG3000C Series: electronic test and design, sensor simulation, functional test, and education and training. Pulse waveforms support independently adjustable leading and trailing edge times, dual-channel models can generate two identical or completely different signals, and external signals can be connected and added to the output. The included ArbExpress software allows waveforms to be imported from any Tektronix oscilloscope or defined by standard functions, equation editor, and waveform math.
ValueTronics International has stocked, tested, and shipped Tektronix arbitrary/function generators from its 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois since 1992. Every AFG3000C Series unit moving through our facility is inspected by our technicians against the published Tektronix specifications before it leaves the building, with condition reports documenting what we measured rather than what a previous owner described. This is the difference between buying a verified instrument from a professional T&M distributor and sourcing from a marketplace listing — the calibration certificate, the warranty, and the named contact for any post-sale question are part of every transaction.
Tektronix was founded in Beaverton, Oregon in 1946 and became one of the foundational names in electronic test and measurement. The company was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2007 and, in 2016, transferred to Fortive Corporation when Danaher spun off its industrial businesses. Tektronix continues to operate under its original brand name as part of the Fortive group, with active product development and full service support for current-generation instruments including the AFG3000C Series.
The AFG3000C Series is organized into six model designations based on maximum sine waveform frequency: AFG3011C (10 MHz), AFG3021C/3022C (25 MHz), AFG3051C/3052C (50 MHz), AFG3101C/3102C (100 MHz), AFG3151C/3152C (150 MHz), and AFG3251C/3252C (240 MHz). Within each tier above the AFG3011C, both single-channel and dual-channel variants are offered — the trailing digit '1' indicates single-channel and '2' indicates dual-channel.
All models share the same twelve standard waveforms, the same 14-bit vertical resolution on arbitrary waveforms, the same 5.6 inch color TFT display, the same multi-language user interface, and the same GPIB/USB/LAN remote programming interfaces. The differences between models scale across maximum frequency, arbitrary waveform sample rate, output amplitude range, edge transition times, jitter, and harmonic distortion floors.
Each pre-owned model below is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing and availability. Configuration details — channel count, frequency tier, calibration status, and accessories included — are documented on each individual listing.
The most significant performance differentiators across the family are sine frequency range (10 MHz to 240 MHz), arbitrary waveform sample rate (250 MS/s on AFG3011C/3021C/3022C, 1 GS/s on the mid-tier models, and 2 GS/s on AFG3251C/3252C for buffer lengths from 2 to 16 K), and square wave rise/fall time (≤50 ns on the AFG3011C improving to ≤2.5 ns on the AFG3251C/3252C). Maximum output amplitude is highest on the AFG3011C at 20 Vp-p into 50 ohm loads and steps down to 10 Vp-p on mid-tier models and 5 Vp-p on the AFG3251C/3252C.
Edge transition time on pulse waveforms ranges from 50 ns minimum on the AFG3011C to 2.5 ns minimum on the AFG3251C/3252C. Typical jitter on square and pulse waveforms improves from <210 ps RMS on the AFG3011C to <35 ps RMS on the AFG3151C/3152C/3251C/3252C. The comparison table that follows summarizes these tier-specific specifications side by side so the correct model can be matched to the application's bandwidth, signal fidelity, and amplitude requirements.

| AFG3011C | 10 MHz | 1 | 250 MS/s |
