The B&K Precision 9115/B Series is a family of multi-range programmable DC power supplies that replaces several conventional fixed-output supplies on a bench or in a system rack. Unlike traditional supplies that lock you into a single voltage/current rectangle, these supplies automatically recalculate voltage and current limits for each setting to deliver full rated output power across any combination within the rated voltage and current envelope. The series spans four models: the 9115/B and 9115/B-AT (0–80V, 0–60A, 1200W), the 9116/B (0–150V, 0–30A, 1200W), and the discontinued 9117 (0–80V, 0–120A, 3000W).
Customers use these supplies for general electronics development, system integration into automated test setups, and — in the case of the 9115/B-AT — automotive electronics testing. The 9115/B-AT generates power test waveforms compliant to DIN 40839 (ISO 7637) and ISO 16750-2:2012(E), which lets automotive component manufacturers simulate engine starter motor voltage reductions, short voltage drops from fuse melts, reset-behavior voltage drops, and cranking profiles — the test conditions specified for electrical and electronic devices installed in vehicles. The multi-range topology also lets a single unit serve applications that would otherwise require multiple fixed-output supplies, which is particularly useful in labs running varied projects from one bench.
ValueTronics International stocks and ships the 9115/B Series from its 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Every unit that passes through the facility is handled by our in-house team rather than drop-shipped from an outside source, which means condition, accessory completeness, and calibration status are documented before the supply reaches your bench. For buyers comparing pre-owned listings against new distribution, that single-facility accountability is what separates a verified supply from an unknown one — and it is why labs, OEM test engineers, and automotive validation groups have sourced power supplies from ValueTronics since 1992.
The 9115/B Series consists of four multi-range programmable DC power supplies that share the same control architecture, the same standard interface set, and the same multi-range topology — but differ in their voltage, current, and power envelopes. All models support multi-ranging operation, which means each unit delivers full rated power in any voltage/current combination within its maximum voltage and current limits. This shared architecture lets a buyer pick the model whose envelope best matches the application without learning a new control interface or rewriting test scripts.
Within the family, three models are 1200W in a 1U rackmount form factor (9115/B, 9115/B-AT, 9116/B), and one model is 3000W in a 2U form factor (9117, now discontinued, with MR3K160120 named as the alternative). The 9115/B-AT adds automotive test waveform generation compliant to DIN 40839 and ISO 16750-2:2012(E) to the 9115/B base; otherwise the 9115/B and 9115/B-AT share their output rating and electrical specifications.
Each pre-owned model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing, current availability, and a complete accessory list. Use the comparison table to confirm the right output envelope and interface configuration for your application, then visit the specific model page to confirm what is in stock today.
The clearest dividing line in the family is the output envelope. The 9115/B and 9115/B-AT cover 0–80V at up to 60A within 1200W — a general-purpose envelope suitable for most low-to-medium voltage bench and system work. The 9116/B trades current capacity for voltage range, covering 0–150V at up to 30A within the same 1200W. The discontinued 9117 covered 0–80V at up to 120A within 3000W, targeting higher-power applications; its alternative is MR3K160120 per B&K Precision.
The second dividing line is the interface and feature set. All four base models include USB (USBTMC), RS232, and RS485 standard; the 9117 adds LAN. GPIB is optional on the non-B variants of the 1200W models and standard on the 9117. The 9115/B-AT is the only model in the family with the DIN 40839 and ISO 16750-2:2012(E) automotive test waveforms built in.
