The HP 4339A High-Resistance Meter is a precision instrument for making high-resistance measurements on capacitors, relays, switches, connectors, materials, cables, and PC boards. It measures DC resistance (R), DC current (I), surface resistivity (ps), and volume resistivity (pv), with a measurement range from 1 × 10³ Ω to 1.6 × 10¹⁶ Ω and a basic accuracy of 0.6%.
High-resistance measurement is used to characterize insulation integrity, dielectric properties, and leakage behavior in passive components and materials. The HP 4339A is designed for measurement of capacitors, relays, switches, connectors, materials, cables, and PC boards. The grounded device-under-test capability supports measurement of cables and transformers under grounded conditions, which is required for evaluating components in their installed reference configuration.
ValueTronics stocks, tests, and ships precision component-measurement instruments like the HP 4339A from our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified by our in-house technical team before it leaves the building, so the instrument arriving on your bench performs as the documentation describes — not as a distant listing photo suggests.
Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business was spun out as Agilent Technologies in 1999 and then transferred to Keysight Technologies in 2014. Instruments originally branded HP, like the 4339A, are part of the lineage that today carries the Keysight name.
