Keysight's Truevolt DMMs — the 34460A, 34461A, 34465A, and 34470A — are bench digital multimeters offering a full range of measurement capabilities and price points across both 6½ and 7½ digit models. Within the family, the 34465A and 34470A offer higher levels of accuracy, speed, and resolution.
Across the series these multimeters measure DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, 2- and 4-wire resistance, frequency and period, capacitance, continuity, and diode, along with temperature via RTD/PT100 and thermistor sensors. The 34465A and 34470A add a data logging mode for trend analysis, a digitizing mode for capturing transients, and a 1 µA current range with pA resolution for measurements on very low-power devices.
Keysight Technologies traces its test-and-measurement heritage to Hewlett-Packard. That business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999 and was subsequently established as Keysight Technologies in 2014.
The Truevolt family comprises four bench digital multimeters — the 34460A, 34461A, 34465A, and 34470A — offering a full range of measurement capabilities and price points across 6½ and 7½ digit models.
All four share the same core measurement set, spanning DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, 2- and 4-wire resistance, frequency and period, capacitance, continuity, diode, and temperature. The 34465A and 34470A offer higher levels of accuracy, speed, and resolution within the family.

The four models differ primarily in resolution, accuracy, reading rate, and memory. The 34460A, 34461A, and 34465A are 6½ digit and the 34470A is 7½ digit. One-year DC voltage accuracy ranges from 75 ppm on the 34460A and 35 ppm on the 34461A to 30 ppm on the 34465A and 16 ppm on the 34470A. Maximum reading rate spans 300 readings/s on the 34460A, 1,000 on the 34461A, and 5,000 standard with 50,000 optional on both the 34465A and 34470A.
The family also differs in measurement ranges and I/O. DC current spans 100 µA to 3 A on the 34460A and to 10 A on the other three, with the 34465A and 34470A adding a 1 µA range. Resistance reaches 100 MΩ on the 34460A and 34461A and 1,000 MΩ on the 34465A and 34470A, and only the 34465A and 34470A add thermocouple temperature measurement. Rear input terminals are present on every model except the 34460A, LAN/LXI is standard on the 34461A, 34465A, and 34470A but optional on the 34460A, and GPIB is optional across the family.

Important: On the 34465A and 34470A, the 5,000 readings/s rate and 50,000 readings memory are standard; the 50,000 readings/s rate and 2 million readings memory are optional (option -MEM / upgrade 3446MEMU).
Important: An accessory kit including test leads and a USB cable is offered as a separate option (-ACC / upgrade 3446ACCU) for the 34460A; verify the standard delivery contents for this model, as these accessories may need to be ordered separately.
