The Keysight 34450A is a 5.5 digit benchtop digital multimeter that combines a wide range of measurement functions with a fast reading rate and a dual-display OLED interface. The instrument provides 11 measurement functions spanning DC and True RMS AC voltage and current, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, frequency, continuity, diode test, capacitance, and temperature, with a 0.015% basic DC voltage accuracy specification.
The 34450A is positioned for general industrial and educational use, including production-line throughput applications, day-to-day bench measurement, and PC-controlled automated test. Its reading speed of up to 190 readings per second supports manufacturing throughput, and its 50,000-point data logging memory with built-in histogram and statistical functions enables on-instrument data analysis without requiring an external PC for routine review.
Keysight Technologies was established in 2014 as a spin-off from Agilent Technologies, which itself was spun off from Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business in 1999. The 34450A is part of the bench DMM product line that traces back through this corporate lineage.
