The Extech VT30 is a handheld digital voltage, continuity, and phase tester featuring a large backlit LCD with bargraph display, designed for electrical verification across AC and DC circuits. The dual-probe tester combines voltage indication, polarity detection, continuity checking, and phase identification in a single rubberized, double-molded instrument intended for everyday electrical work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
The VT30 covers AC/DC voltage indication at discrete steps of 6V, 12V, 24V, 50V, 230V, 400V, and 690V, with polarity LEDs indicating positive or negative DC. Continuity is verified by an audible tone, and the unit supports two-handed operation for low-impedance testing — useful when distinguishing live conductors from induced or ghost voltages. A built-in flashlight illuminates the test point itself, allowing the user to identify terminals inside panels, junction boxes, or other confined areas without a second light source.
