The Extech TH30 is a compact USB dual-channel temperature datalogger that simultaneously records air temperature through a built-in NTC thermistor (T1) and external probe temperature through the included TP830 stainless steel thermistor probe (T2), with each reading time-stamped to the datalogger's internal clock. Housed in a rugged enclosure roughly the size of a USB flash drive, the unit consolidates two-channel temperature logging, on-board display, and direct PC data transfer into a single device that requires no separate cradle, dock, or proprietary cable.

Applications for the TH30 follow from what the datasheet defines as the unit's working envelope: dual-point temperature monitoring across a -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C) range with programmable sampling intervals from 30 seconds to 2 hours. The combination of an internal air sensor and an external probe channel suits scenarios where two temperatures need to be compared or correlated over time — for example, ambient versus product, ambient versus contact surface, or interior versus exterior of an enclosed space. The 48,000-reading memory (split as 24,000 per channel) supports extended logging runs without intermediate downloads.

Important: Generating a PDF report from the downloaded data requires Adobe Reader on the PC.Important: Adobe® Reader® is required to view the PDF reports generated by the datalogger when plugged into a PC.Recommended pairing: the TP832 — a 5.9 inch (15 cm) stainless steel thermistor probe with handle and 43 inch (1.1 m) cable, rated -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C) — is available as an alternative or supplemental probe for the T2 channel when the standard 0.78 inch TP830 probe geometry is not suited to the measurement point.
