The Fluke iSee Mobile Thermal Camera is a smartphone-attachable thermal imager that plugs directly into a phone's USB Type-C port (TC01A) or Lightning port (TC01B) to deliver thermal imaging and temperature measurement capability anywhere the user takes their phone. The datasheet positions the iSee for electrical and mechanical inspections, inspection service work, HVAC inspection, product R&D, and quality control applications.
Applications listed in the datasheet include electrical cabinet inspection, motor monitoring, fan inspection, circuit board diagnostics, floor heating verification, outdoor environment surveys, air conditioner vent assessment, heated car seat evaluation, and electric switch inspection. The spot, line, and area temperature analysis tools in the Fluke iSee app support locating hot spots, comparing thermal patterns across components, and archiving inspection imagery alongside visible-light reference images.
ValueTronics International is an authorized Fluke distributor headquartered at our 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every Fluke instrument we ship — including the iSee mobile thermal cameras — is stocked and processed in-house by our team rather than passed through a drop-shipper, and our staff handles configuration questions, application matching, and post-sale support directly. New Fluke products sold through ValueTronics carry the full Fluke manufacturer warranty exactly as if purchased through any other authorized channel.
Fluke Corporation is a US-based test and measurement manufacturer headquartered in Everett, Washington. Fluke became part of Danaher Corporation in 1998 and subsequently part of Fortive Corporation following Danaher's 2016 spin-off of its industrial businesses. The Fluke brand and product lines have continued uninterrupted through both transitions.
The Fluke iSee family consists of two mobile thermal cameras that share an identical core imaging engine and differ only in host-device interface, low-end temperature range, and ingress protection rating. The TC01A is the Android and HarmonyOS variant with a USB Type-C connector; the TC01B is the iOS variant with a Lightning connector and Apple MFI certification.
Both models deliver 256 x 192 IR resolution, ±2% or ±2 °C / 3.6 °F accuracy, 50 mK thermal sensitivity, 25 Hz frame rate, and the same 550 °C / 1022 °F upper temperature limit. The choice between TC01A and TC01B is determined entirely by which smartphone or tablet operating system the user intends to pair with — there is no performance hierarchy between the two.
Each new iSee model is presented on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. The links below route to the page that corresponds to this model and condition combination so you can compare the TC01A and TC01B directly within the same condition tier.
Three documented differences separate the TC01A from the TC01B: host interface (Type-C vs. Lightning, with the TC01B carrying Apple MFI certification for iOS device compatibility), low-end temperature range (TC01A reaches down to -10 °C / 14 °F; TC01B reaches down to -20 °C / -4 °F), and ingress protection (TC01A is rated IP54 with the Type-C protective cover installed; TC01B is rated IP56). Power consumption also differs slightly — the TC01A draws 350 mW typical versus 200 mW typical for the TC01B.
Refer to the comparison table for the per-model specification breakdown. For Android or HarmonyOS users, the TC01A is the only correct selection. For iPhone or iPad users, the TC01B is the only correct selection. Users who need to image targets colder than -10 °C / 14 °F should specifically verify that the TC01B's -20 °C / -4 °F low-end range covers their application.
| Model | USB Interface | Temperature Range | Mobile OS Compatibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| TC01A | Type-C | -10 °C to 550 °C (14 °F to 1022 °F) | Android 6.0 / HarmonyOS 2.0 or later (OTG required) |
| TC01B | Lightning | -20 °C to 550 °C (-4 °F to 1022 °F) | iOS 11.0 or later |
