The Agilent PNA-X Network Analyzer family — comprising the N5244A (10 MHz to 43.5 GHz) and N5245A (10 MHz to 50 GHz) — is a high-performance vector network analyzer platform configurable as either a 2-port or 4-port instrument. Both models share a common architecture and are differentiated primarily by upper frequency limit, with option packages that add extended power range, internal second sources, combiners, mechanical switching, bias-tees, pulse capability, and dedicated noise figure hardware.
Per the datasheet, the PNA-X is applied to RF and microwave component characterization tasks including S-parameter measurement, noise figure measurement (with Option 029), pulse measurements (point-in-pulse and pulse-profile with Options 021/022/025), and measurements that require multiple internal sources such as intermodulation and gain compression (with Options 224 or 423). The 4-port configurations support balanced and differential device measurements, and the front-panel access loops on all options allow external signal conditioning between the internal couplers and receivers.
ValueTronics maintains its inventory of vector network analyzers — including the PNA-X family — at our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. Unlike pass-through brokers, every {{CONDITION}} PNA-X passing through our facility is handled, documented, and shipped from the same location where our technical resources reside, giving buyers a single point of accountability from quote through delivery.
The N5244A and N5245A were introduced under the Agilent Technologies brand. Agilent's electronic measurement business was transferred to Keysight Technologies in 2014, so instruments originally branded Agilent in this product family are part of the Hewlett-Packard → Agilent → Keysight test and measurement lineage. Calibration service and parts continuity for these instruments flow through that successor relationship.
The PNA-X family covered by this datasheet consists of two base models — the N5244A and the N5245A — distinguished only by upper frequency limit. The N5244A covers 10 MHz to 43.5 GHz; the N5245A extends to 50 GHz. Both models share the same architecture, the same option structure, and the same corrected and uncorrected performance specifications within their common frequency range.
Each base model is offered in 2-port (Option 200) or 4-port (Option 400) configurations, with additional option packages that add extended power range and bias-tees (Option 219 / 419), an internal second source and combiner with mechanical switches (Option 224 / 423), and dedicated noise figure hardware (Option 029). The right configuration for a given lab depends on the maximum frequency required, the number of test ports, and whether features such as multi-source measurements, noise figure, or pulse capability are part of the planned measurement set.
Each pre-owned N5244A or N5245A configuration listed below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Confirm the model number and the full option string when selecting, since the option content drives the available measurement capability.
Per the datasheet, the N5244A and N5245A differ in upper frequency limit only — 43.5 GHz versus 50 GHz. Specifications above 43.5 GHz (the 43.5 GHz to 47 GHz and 47 GHz to 50 GHz bands documented in the system dynamic range, maximum leveled power, and noise floor tables) apply only to the N5245A.
The 2-port options (200 / 219 / 224) and 4-port options (400 / 419 / 423) add capability incrementally: the base 200/400 options provide the standard test set; 219/419 add extended power range, source and receiver attenuators, and bias-tees; and 224/423 add an internal second source (224 only), an internal combiner, and mechanical switches. Option 029, which adds noise figure hardware, requires Option 224 or 423. The comparison table that follows summarizes which configurations carry which capability.

| N5245A | 10 MHz to 50.0 GHz | 2 or 4 | 2.4 mm (male) |
