Several versions available

Rohde & Schwarz offers several versions of the MXO3. They are available with four or eight analog channels, and bandwidth ranging from 100 MHz to 1 GHz.

The MXO3-PK1 application bundle includes the following:

  • MXO3-B6 – Arbitrary waveform generator, 50 MHz, 1 analog channel
  • MXO3-B105 – Memory upgrade to 500 Mpoints
  • MXO3-K31 – Power analysis
  • MXO3-K36 – Frequency response analysis

Up to 99% real-time capture

While most oscilloscopes capture less than 2% of realtime system activity, MXO oscilloscopes capture up to 99% of your signal’s activity. Instantly see details that other oscilloscopes miss. With 4.5 million waveforms/s, quickly see rare events and anomalies that other oscilloscopes mask. Minimum trigger re-arm time is just 21 ns versus microseconds on other oscilloscopes.

Industry’s fastest spectrum

MXO 3 creates its spectrum display by processing FFTs in hardware. See details in the frequency domain, including dynamic signal changes that other oscilloscopes do not show. Use free run trigger mode, a feature only found on Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes, to ensure the fastest spectrum performance of 50000 FFTs/s.

Low noise plus more vertical resolution

See small signal changes in the presence of larger signals:

  • With 12-bit vertical resolution in hardware at all sample rates, get 16x more resolution than 8-bit oscilloscopes
  • Low-noise: only < 50 µV RMS noise on 1 MΩ and 50 Ω paths at 1 mV/div with 100 MHz bandwidth

Logic analysis (option MXO3-B1)

Every MXO 3 series oscilloscope comes equipped with MSO logic analysis. Just add MSO probes to get 16 digital channels. Use the MSO probes across different MXO series oscilloscopes without needing a software license.

The oscilloscope logic channels run at 5 Gsample/s, delivering time resolution of 200 ps. With a substantial memory depth of 125 Mpoints per channel, the sampling rate remains consistent over a large range of time base settings. Use logic triggering to isolate critical events like narrow glitches and specific pattern combinations.
