The RIGOL MSO/DS2000A Series is a family of mainstream digital oscilloscopes built around RIGOL's UltraVision acquisition technology. The MSO2000A models combine 2 analog channels with 16 digital channels (2+16), aimed at the embedded design and test market, while the DS2000A models provide the same 2-analog-channel platform without the logic-analyzer inputs. Across the series, every model carries a 50 Ω input as standard alongside the conventional 1 MΩ input.
These instruments are intended for embedded design and test work, where mixed-signal analysis across analog and digital channels is routine. An oscilloscope captures voltage waveforms over time so an engineer can see a signal's amplitude, timing, and shape; the MSO models extend that view by time-correlating analog and digital signals on a single display. The series supports serial bus triggering and decoding for RS232, I2C, SPI, and CAN, and its digital channels can be grouped, labeled, and driven from a variety of logic levels.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, which lets us match the right instrument to your application quickly and ship from stock.
The MSO/DS2000A Series brings RIGOL's UltraVision technology to a single mainstream platform offered in several configurations. The MSO2000A models add 16 digital channels to the 2-analog-channel base for mixed-signal work in embedded design and test, while the DS2000A models keep the 2-analog-channel configuration. Both lines are further available in -S variants that add a built-in two-channel waveform source.
What stays constant across the family is the acquisition engine: a 2 GSa/s analog sample rate, memory depth to 14 Mpts standard (56 Mpts optional), a 50,000 wfms/s waveform capture rate, and real-time record, replay, and analysis to 65,000 frames. What changes from model to model is primarily the analog bandwidth.
Each new model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model whose bandwidth and configuration fit your application, then choose the listing that matches the condition you need.
The models differ first in analog bandwidth: 70 MHz (2072A), 100 MHz (2102A), 200 MHz (2202A), and 300 MHz (2302A). That bandwidth difference tracks with calculated rise time, which ranges from 5 ns on the 70 MHz models to 1.2 ns on the 300 MHz models. The 200 MHz and 300 MHz models offer selectable 20 MHz/100 MHz bandwidth limits, while the 70 MHz and 100 MHz models offer a 20 MHz limit.
Beyond bandwidth, the configuration suffixes set the models apart: MSO prefixes denote the 2+16-channel mixed-signal models, DS prefixes denote the 2-analog-channel models, and the -S suffix adds the built-in 25 MHz two-channel source. The comparison table below details bandwidth, channel count, and source availability for each model.
