The Keysight EDU34450A is a 5½-digit, dual-display digital multimeter designed for bench applications. It measures 11 input signals — DC voltage, DC current, true RMS AC voltage, AC current, two- and four-wire resistance, frequency, continuity, diode test, temperature, and capacitance — delivering broad measurement coverage in a low-cost, compact package.

On the bench, the EDU34450A targets speed-critical tests with a reading rate of up to 110 readings per second, while its 5,000-point logging memory supports prolonged data recording and analysis. It is part of Keysight's education series, which also includes waveform generators, a triple-output DC power supply, and InfiniiVision 1000 X-Series oscilloscopes for a coordinated bench setup.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.

Brand Heritage

Keysight Technologies traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business, which was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. Agilent's electronic measurement business then became Keysight Technologies in 2014, the brand under which this instrument is produced.

Important: Standard shipped items are the power cord and test leads only. Temperature measurement requires a 5 kΩ thermistor probe (YSI 44007 or equivalent); the thermistor temperature probe (E2308A) is listed as a Keysight optional accessory and is not included with the base unit.
Important: Measurement category: CAT II, 300 V; CAT I 1000 Vdc, 750 Vac rms, 2,500 Vpk transient over-voltages, pollution degree 2.
Important: DC current measurement is protected by an externally accessible front-panel 4 A, 600 V fuse on the I terminal.
Usage tip: pair the EDU34450A with the E2308A thermistor temperature probe listed in its accessories to enable the temperature measurement function.
