The HP 33120A is a 15 MHz function and arbitrary waveform generator that uses direct digital synthesis to create stable, accurate output signals. It produces clean, low-distortion sine waves along with fast rise- and fall-time square waves and linear ramp waveforms down to 10 mHz, and adds arbitrary waveform capability with 12-bit resolution and a 40 MSa/s sample rate.

A function/arbitrary waveform generator provides the controlled stimulus side of a test setup: known signals at known amplitudes, frequencies, and shapes used to exercise a device under test while a response instrument such as an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer measures the result. The HP 33120A is positioned for benches that need both standard waveform generation and the flexibility to define custom arbitrary signals from a single instrument.

ValueTronics International stocks and supports the HP 33120A from its 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every unit in our inventory is handled, inspected, and prepared in-house — not drop-shipped from an unverified third party — and supported by the same engineering and operations team for the life of the instrument. That single-location accountability is the difference between a verified instrument with documented condition and a marketplace listing with no recourse.

Brand Heritage

Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business was spun out as Agilent Technologies in 1999, and Agilent's electronic measurement division became Keysight Technologies in 2014. Instruments originally sold under the HP brand, including the 33120A, trace their corporate lineage through Agilent to today's Keysight.
