The Fluke 190 Series III ScopeMeter is a family of handheld portable oscilloscopes engineered for field measurement work in industrial environments. The series spans seven models, available in two-channel and four-channel configurations with bandwidth options of 60 MHz, 100 MHz, 200 MHz, and 500 MHz. Each unit combines the performance of a bench oscilloscope with the portability and safety isolation needed for work outside the laboratory, with independently isolated inputs that reduce the risk of accidental short circuits when measuring across mixed-ground-reference circuits.

Applications named on the datasheet include installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial machinery, automation and process controls, and power conversion electronics. The ScopeRecord mode is specifically positioned for recording events such as UPS, power supply, and motor start-up cycles, with the Stop on Trigger mode set up to recognize a power failure and store the waveform data preceding it. The TrendPlot paperless recorder is positioned for finding intermittent faults caused by bad connections, dust, dirt, corrosion, broken wiring, line outages, dips, swells, interruptions, and motor start-stop events.

ValueTronics has supported test and measurement professionals since 1992 from our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every Fluke 190 Series III ScopeMeter that passes through our facility is inventoried, inspected, and prepared for shipment by our in-house team rather than drop-shipped from a third party. That model lets us answer specific questions about a unit before it ships, confirm what is and is not included with a given configuration, and stand behind what we send.

Brand Heritage

Fluke Corporation has manufactured handheld test instruments since 1948 and has operated as a subsidiary of Fortive Corporation since the 2016 spinoff of Fortive from Danaher Corporation. Fluke acquired Philips Test & Measurement's portable instrument lines in 1993, which is part of the heritage behind the ScopeMeter handheld oscilloscope category.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The Fluke 190 Series III ScopeMeter family is built around a common platform — shared safety rating, shared display, shared trigger architecture, shared connectivity, and shared software ecosystem — with seven configurations that scale bandwidth, channel count, and sample rate to match the measurement work. Every model in the series carries the CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V safety rating, the IP51 environmental rating, the 133 mm by 90 mm color LCD, the dual USB ports, and the Connect-and-View triggering engine. What differs between models is bandwidth, channel count, sample rate, included probe type, included battery, and the presence or absence of the built-in 5,000 count digital multimeter.

Two-channel models in the series (190-062, 190-102, 190-202, 190-502) include a built-in DMM accessed through dedicated 4 mm banana inputs that are fully isolated from the scope inputs and scope ground, plus an external trigger input. Four-channel models (190-104, 190-204, 190-504) provide four BNC scope inputs and surface multimeter-style readings as automatic scope measurements through those inputs rather than through a separate DMM section.

Each new model in the series is listed on its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Use the per-model pages linked below to confirm bandwidth, channel count, included probes, included battery, and any specific accessory bundle on the unit you are evaluating.

Bandwidth and sample rate scale together across the series. The 60 MHz two-channel 190-062 samples at 625 MS/s per channel; the 100 MHz models (190-102, 190-104) sample at 1.25 GS/s per channel; the 200 MHz models (190-202, 190-204) sample at 2.5 GS/s per channel; the 500 MHz models (190-502, 190-504) reach 5 GS/s on a single channel and divide that capability across active channels as more inputs are turned on. Rise time follows the same scaling, from 5.8 ns at 60 MHz down to 0.7 ns at 500 MHz.

Channel-count and DMM features also drive selection. The two-channel configurations carry the standalone 5,000 count DMM with a 30 MΩ resistance range and Vdc accuracy of plus or minus 0.5 percent plus 6 counts; the four-channel configurations trade the standalone DMM section for two additional fully isolated scope channels and surface measurements through the BNC inputs at plus or minus 999 counts (9999 counts for frequency). Included probe type and included battery also vary across the series — see the comparison table that follows for the full per-model breakdown.

Model Bandwidth Channels Max Sample Rate
190-202-III 200 MHz 2 2.5 GS/s
190-062-III 60 MHz 2 625 MS/s
190-102-III 100 MHz 2 1.25 GS/s
190-502-III 500 MHz 2 5 GS/s (single channel) or 2.5 GS/s (dual channel)

Additional differences in specifications beyond the few shown above are not listed here — see each model's full specifications below.

Important: Maximum BNC input voltage is CAT IV 300 V when measuring directly through the BNC input. Maximum rated floating voltage of CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V applies between any contact and earth-ground voltage level when using the supplied voltage probes (VPS410-II 10:1 or VPS421 100:1).Important: All inputs are fully insulated from each other and from ground, providing CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V rated floating isolated inputs for safe measurement in mixed-reference circuits.Important: The 190-104-III, 190-204-III and 190-504-III (4-channel models) do not include a separate banana-input DMM; meter measurements on these models are performed via the BNC scope inputs as automatic scope measurements.Important: Battery charging and discharging are specified within 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). Operating outside this range may reduce specified accuracy by 10 % per degree C below 18 °C or above 28 °C.Important: Each model is also available in a '-S' configuration that includes the SCC293 kit (CXT293 rugged carrying case, full-version FlukeView-2 PC software activation, and a WiFi dongle for wireless PC connectivity).Recommended pairing: the VPS421 100:1 ruggedized industrial-grade probes (150 MHz) ship standard with the 60 MHz and 100 MHz two-channel and 100 MHz four-channel configurations for higher-voltage work; the VPS410-II 10:1 probes (500 MHz) ship with the 200 MHz and 500 MHz configurations. Replacement and color-coded sets are listed on the datasheet for both probe families.
