The Com-Power AD-100A is a half-wave tuned dipole antenna set covering 30 MHz to 1 GHz, supplied complete with a custom carrying and storage case. The set includes the four standard antenna baluns described in ANSI C63.5, along with all of the necessary antenna elements to cover the full frequency range. The frequency range is divided across four subranges: dB1 (30 MHz to 65 MHz), dB2 (65 MHz to 180 MHz), dB3 (180 MHz to 400 MHz), and dB4 (400 MHz to 1 GHz).

Dipole antennas are considered the reference (or standard) antenna and remain the preferred choice for discrete frequency field strength measurements associated with Normalized Site Attenuation (NSA) calibrations of Open Area Test Sites (OATS) and Semi-Anechoic Chambers (SAC), as well as for most radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI) compliance tests. They are also the only antenna type used for calibration of broadband antennas such as biconical dipoles and log periodic dipole arrays when employing the reference antenna method described in ANSI C63.5: 2006. The AD-100A is additionally used as the substitution antenna for Effective Radiated Power (ERP) and Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) tests of intentional radiators such as RF transmitters.

ValueTronics has been supplying test and measurement equipment to engineers, EMC laboratories, and compliance test houses since 1992. Every instrument we offer passes through our 20,000 sq ft secure warehouse and inspection facility at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where our technicians verify equipment before it ships. That hands-on approach is what separates ValueTronics from drop-shippers and online marketplaces that simply forward listings without ever touching the hardware.

Important: Per ANSI C63.4 and CISPR 16-1-4, no calibration of half-wave dipoles is required beyond verification of balun loss (<0.5 dB) and VSWR (<1.5:1). Antenna factors are determined by calculation: Dipole Factor = 20*log(Freq. in MHz) - 31.9 + Balun Loss (dB).Important: Per ANSI C63.4 & CISPR 16-1-4, no calibration of half-wave dipoles is required beyond verification of balun loss (<0.5 dB) and VSWR (<1.5:1). Antenna factors are instead determined by calculation.Important: NIST Traceable or 17025 Accredited Calibration of the AD-100 Tuned Dipole Set is available upon request.Important: An antenna tripod (such as the AT-812) is required to position the dipole for measurements and is not included with the AD-100A; order separately if needed.Recommended pairing: the Com-Power PAM-103A Preamplifier (1 MHz to 1 GHz) and AT-812 Antenna Tripod are listed by the manufacturer as related items for the AD-100A.
