The Tektronix TDS6000B/C Series is a family of digital storage oscilloscopes built to address the design validation, debug, and compliance challenges of next-generation computer, datacom, and communications equipment. It is positioned as an uncompromised performance solution spanning probing, acquisition, analysis, compliance, and debug, combining high bandwidth, high sample rate, and deep memory in a single instrument.
Tektronix lists the series for signal integrity, jitter, and timing analysis, and for the validation, debug, characterization, and compliance of next-generation digital designs. Additional named applications include computer, datacom, and storage area network equipment designs and high-speed backplanes, as well as high energy physics measurements and data acquisition.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its inventory directly in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Pre-owned instruments are inspected and functionally verified in-house by our team before they ship, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer — so buyers get the right instrument in the condition they expect, backed by people who handle the equipment directly.
The TDS6000B/C Series comprises four digital storage oscilloscope models that share a common acquisition, triggering, and analysis architecture while differing in bandwidth. All four models provide four input channels and the same Pinpoint triggering, MyScope control, and OpenChoice software environment.
Tektronix presents the series as an uncompromised performance solution for serial data measurement and analysis, designed so that bandwidth, sample rate, and record length need not be traded against one another. The B and C model designations distinguish the acquisition capabilities detailed in the comparison table below.
Each pre-owned model in the series links to its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the bandwidth tier that fits your application, then choose the pre-owned listing that matches your budget and availability needs.
The TDS6154C is the 15 GHz model of the series. It provides matched 15 GHz performance across any two channels using Tektronix-proprietary DSP enhancement, with a user-selectable per-channel DSP filter that applies magnitude and phase correction and extends the analog bandwidth to 15 GHz; the filter can also be switched off to use the true 12 GHz analog bandwidth for the highest available raw data capture.
The four models are differentiated primarily by bandwidth: 6 GHz (TDS6604B), 8 GHz (TDS6804B), 12 GHz (TDS6124C), and 15 GHz (TDS6154C), each with the corresponding typical rise-time figures shown in the comparison table. All four models offer four input channels.
Acquisition capability also varies between the B and C models: the TDS6000C models provide up to 40 GS/s real-time sampling on two channels and 20 GS/s on four channels, with record lengths up to 64 Msamples on two channels, while the TDS6000B models provide 20 GS/s on four channels. Consult the comparison table for the per-model sample rate, record length, and rise-time values.
