The RIGOL DS1000E and DS1000D series are economical digital oscilloscopes built for high performance on the bench. The DS1000E models (DS1102E and DS1052E) are designed with two analog channels and one external trigger channel. The DS1000D models (DS1102D and DS1052D) carry the same two analog channels and external trigger channel and add a 16-channel logic analyzer, making them mixed-signal oscilloscopes that combine analog and digital acquisition in a single instrument.
A digital oscilloscope captures electrical signals as waveforms — voltage plotted against time — so an engineer can see a signal's amplitude, timing, and shape directly. Across this series, RIGOL lists the instruments for electronic circuit test, circuit functional test, verification of the logical relation between signals, mixed-signal circuit test, and education and training. The 16-channel logic analyzer on the DS1000D models supports the mixed-signal and logic-relation work in that list by acquiring digital lines alongside the two analog channels.
ValueTronics keeps its inventory on hand in our own 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where we have specialized in test and measurement equipment since 1992. Holding and stocking our own inventory lets us match the right instrument and condition to your application and ship it quickly.
The DS1000E and DS1000D series are economical, high-performance digital oscilloscopes that share a common platform across four models. The DS1000E models are configured with two analog channels and one external trigger channel; the DS1000D models add a 16-channel logic analyzer to those same two analog channels and external trigger channel, making them mixed-signal oscilloscopes.
Within each configuration, the series is offered at two analog-bandwidth levels, so a buyer chooses both the configuration — analog-only DS1000E or mixed-signal DS1000D — and the bandwidth that fits the application.
Each new model below has its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the model and configuration that fit your application, then choose the new listing that matches your budget and condition requirements.
The four models differ along two axes. Bandwidth separates the DS1102E and DS1102D (100 MHz) from the DS1052E and DS1052D (50 MHz); the 100 MHz models reach a 25 GSa/s equivalent sample rate and a 2 ns/div fastest scanning speed, versus 10 GSa/s and 5 ns/div on the 50 MHz models. Typical rise time is under 3.5 ns at 100 MHz and under 7 ns at 50 MHz.
Configuration separates the DS1000D models, which include the 16-channel logic analyzer along with Pattern and Duration trigger types, from the DS1000E models, which provide the two analog channels and external trigger without the logic analyzer. The comparison table below summarizes these per-model differences.
| Model | Bandwidth | Analog Channels | Digital Channels |
|---|---|---|---|
| DS1052E | 50MHz | 2 | 0 |
| DS1102E | 100MHz | 2 | 0 |
| DS1102D | 100MHz | 2 | 16 |
| DS1052D | 50MHz | 2 | 16 |

Important: At a 1 GSa/s real-time sample rate, only one channel is available.
Important: Pattern Trigger and Duration Trigger are available on the DS1000D series only.
Important: To meet the published specifications the instrument must be operated continuously for 30 minutes under the specified operating temperature, and a Self-Calibration must be performed through the Utility menu if the operating temperature varies by 5°C or more. All specifications are guaranteed unless marked "typical".
Recommended pairing: add the optional USB-GPIB Adapter from the ordering information to integrate the oscilloscope into GPIB-based automated test systems.
