The DL708 is a multi-channel digital scope built to measure isolated physical signals across as many as eight channels. It combines conventional oscilloscope-style waveform capture — where the time axis, voltage axis, and trigger can be set while observing a waveform — with data-acquisition and recording technology, so one instrument can measure signals ranging from slowly changing temperature to high-speed signals in the MHz region. Interchangeable plug-in modules give the DL708 flexibility for a variety of applications.
Yokogawa positions the DL708 for a broad set of physical-measurement tasks. Listed applications include maintenance and inspection of turbines and rotating machinery, measuring the behavior of engines, monitoring large plants, and monitoring the operation of press machines. It is also suited to observing impact and vibration tests, capturing sporadic one-shot events, recording changes in temperature and electric potential, and maintaining substations.
ValueTronics keeps the DL708 and its plug-in modules in our own 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, where we stock and hold inventory directly. Every pre-owned order is fulfilled from that facility: pre-owned units are inspected and functionally verified in-house before they ship, while new units leave the warehouse factory-sealed exactly as received.
The DL708 is built around a modular, eight-slot architecture: each input channel is supplied by a plug-in module that contains its own A/D converter, and different module types can be used together in the same mainframe. This lets a single DL708 be configured for tasks as varied as high-speed voltage capture, high-resolution measurement, thermocouple temperature acquisition, and logic recording.
Because the plug-in modules and the memory expansions are ordered separately from the mainframe, the way a given DL708 is equipped determines its measurement capability. The plug-in modules and the /M1, /M2, and /M3 memory options are the main points of configuration covered below.
Each pre-owned configuration listed here is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the mainframe and module combination that fits your measurement needs, and the corresponding pre-owned page will reflect availability and pricing for that exact item.
The plug-in modules differ primarily in resolution, bandwidth, sampling rate, and input voltage handling. The high-speed module (701851) is non-isolated and provides 10-bit resolution at up to 10 MS/s with a DC-to-5 MHz band, while the high-speed isolation module (701850) offers isolated inputs at 10 bits and 10 MS/s with a DC-to-2 MHz band. The high-resolution isolation modules step up to 16-bit resolution at 100 kS/s for lower-frequency, higher-precision work.
Maximum input voltage also varies by module: the high-resolution isolation module (701853) is rated 100 V (DC + AC peak) between signal H and L, while the high-resolution high-voltage isolation module (701852) is rated 850 V (DC + AC peak). The temperature module (701860) accepts thermocouple inputs with a 42 V (DC + AC peak) limit. The comparison table that follows lists each module's resolution, sampling rate, bandwidth, and input ratings side by side.
| Model | A/D Resolution | Max Sampling Rate | Max Input Voltage |
|---|---|---|---|
| DL708 | — | 10 MS/s (max) | — |

Important: The high-resolution high-voltage isolation module (701852) and the logic input module (701870) require DL708 firmware version 2.00 or later.
Important: The DL708 main unit does not include plug-in modules; input modules (701850, 701851, 701852, 701853, 701860, 701870) must be ordered separately to acquire signals.
Important: Plug-in modules do not include any probes. To make a measurement, the appropriate probe must be ordered separately (e.g., 700929 for 701850, 700998 for 701851, 700986/700987 for 701870).
Important: The 700987 Isolation Logic Probe does not include any measurement lead. To measure a signal, 366961 (42 V or less) or a combination of 758917 and either 758922 or 758929 is required.
Important: The 701852 and 701870 modules require DL708 firmware version 2.00 or later; contact your local YOKOGAWA sales office to upgrade the firmware.
Important: Memory expansion options /M1, /M2 and /M3 are mutually exclusive — select only one.
Important: Specifying /C8 (1.2 GB internal HDD) also adds an SCSI interface, so /C7 and /C8 cannot be specified at the same time.
Important: Real-time hard disk recording requires the optional 1.2 GB internal hard disk and cannot be used in combination with real-time printing, average, or sequential storage.
Important: The 10.4-inch TFT color LCD may include defects of about 0.02% of all pixels.
Important: Conversion adapters 366921/366923 and BNC cable leads for the high-speed modules are not isolated and should be used only for measurement under 42 V.
Recommended pairing: the 701870 logic input module accepts the 700986 high-speed or 700987 isolation logic probes, purchased separately per the module's compatibility list.
