The new FLIR DM93-NIST is engineered to deliver accurate readings and diagnostics, no matter the environmental conditions. In industrial environments where motors, pumps and other processing equipment are controlled by switching electronics and variable frequency drives (VFDs), it can be difficult to test accurately when distorted waveforms exist on electronic loads. The DM93’s VFD Mode uses a low-pass filter to ensure precision readings even when signals are noisy. To avoid misleading readings from stray static voltage present from capacitive coupling, the DM93’s LoZ mode helps a user confirm a circuit is not energized and accurately display zero volts even when stray 'ghost voltage' is present on wiring.
