The Agilent N3300A Series is a family of dc electronic loads built around a modular mainframe-and-module architecture. The series comprises two mainframes — the full-rack-width N3300A with six slots and the half-rack-width N3301A with two slots — into which any assortment of six interchangeable load modules can be installed up to the available slot capacity. This lets a single load be configured for exactly the channel count and power mix a given test station needs, with straightforward reconfiguration as requirements change.
These electronic loads are aimed at high-volume manufacturing test, where the goal is to maximize test-system throughput without adding floorspace. The series is used to test dc power supplies and battery chargers, including multiple-output power supplies and dc-dc converters, and supports automated test systems through a dc connection terminal for ATE applications. Because the modules operate with full stability down to zero volts, the series suits testing of low-voltage power supplies, and modules can be operated in parallel to provide additional current-sinking capability for high-current supplies.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit we sell is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received. That lets us match the right mainframe-and-module configuration to your test requirement and stand behind it.
Agilent Technologies was formed in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business. In 2014, Agilent's electronic measurement business was established as Keysight Technologies, which carries forward that instrument heritage.
The N3300A Series is organized as two mainframes and six load modules. The N3300A mainframe is full rack width with six slots, while the N3301A mainframe is half rack width with two slots; any combination of the six modules can be installed up to a mainframe's slot capacity.
The modules differ in their power, current, and voltage ratings and in the number of slots they occupy: the 150 W, 250 W, and 300 W modules each use one slot, while the 500 W and 600 W modules each use two. This modular approach lets a load be configured for present needs and reconfigured as test requirements change.
Each model linked below has its own dedicated product page with pricing matched to the pre-owned unit you select. Choose the mainframe or module that fits your slot and power requirements to see its full specifications and current availability.
The N3300A is the full-rack-width mainframe in the series, providing six module slots — the largest slot capacity in the family — for systems that consolidate multiple load channels into a single chassis.
The modules span 150 W to 600 W of maximum power at 40 °C, with current ratings from 10 A to 120 A and voltage ratings of 60 V, 150 V, or 240 V depending on the module. Constant-current, constant-voltage, and constant-resistance ranges, measurement accuracies, and programmable slew-rate bands likewise vary by module, as detailed in the comparison table below.
The two mainframes differ in size and capacity — the N3300A is full rack width with six slots and the N3301A is half rack width with two slots — along with their ac input and weight characteristics. The table below summarizes the per-model ratings so a configuration can be matched to a specific test requirement.

Important: Maximum continuous power is derated linearly from 100% of maximum at 40 °C to 75% of maximum at 55 °C.
Important: Specifications indicate warranted performance in the 25 °C ±5 °C region of the operating temperature range and apply to normal and transient modes unless otherwise noted.
Important: Measurement specifications are based on 1000 samples and may degrade when the unit is subject to an RF field of 3 V/meter, line spikes of 500 V, or an 8 kV electrostatic discharge.
Important: DC current accuracy specifications apply 30 seconds after input current is applied.
Important: Maximum current is available down to 2 volts (Table A-1); under typical normal operating conditions the load can sink maximum current down to 1.2 V (N3302A, N3303A, N3304A) or 1.4 V (N3305A, N3306A, N3307A).
Important: Below 3 volts, the maximum bandwidth (slew rate) of the electronic load is reduced by a factor of ten to one.
Important: Options 908, 909, and 800 require either the slide kit (p/n 1494-0059) or support rails (E3663AC) to support the weight of the load mainframe.
Important: The programming reference manual is supplied with the mainframes and is therefore not included with the modules; Option 910 adds an extra manual set (operating, programming reference, and service manuals).
