The Anritsu MS4630B is a network analyzer covering 10 Hz to 300 MHz, designed for high-speed evaluation of IF filters, resonators, and similar passive components. The instrument measures transmission characteristics (amplitude, phase, group delay), reflection and impedance characteristics, and absolute level characteristics, presenting results on a 6.5-inch color LCD with up to two channels and four traces displayed simultaneously.

Per the datasheet, the MS4630B is suitable for electronics production lines that demand fast and accurate device measurements. It is particularly well suited to accurate high-speed evaluation of IF filter resonance and group delay characteristics, as well as evaluating the impedance characteristics of resonators in AV equipment and personal computers. Dedicated filter and resonator analysis keys allow filter parameters (passband, attenuation band, insertion loss, center frequency, Q, shape factor) and resonator parameters (Fr, Fa, Zr, Za, equivalent-circuit constants) to be evaluated with a single key stroke.

Brand Heritage

Anritsu Corporation is a Japanese precision measurement company with a long history in RF, microwave, and network analysis instrumentation. The MS4630B network analyzer is part of Anritsu's standalone product line and was not formed through a brand acquisition or rebranding event.

Important: Maximum input power: AC +20 dBm; DC ±2.2 V (50 Ω) or DC ±20 V (1 MΩ).Important: Maximum input power at the front-panel input connectors is +20 dBm. Exceeding this limit may damage the receiver.Important: Operation of the floppy disk drive (FDD) is specified for an ambient temperature range of +4°C to +50°C, narrower than the +0°C to +50°C operating range of the analyzer itself.Recommended pairing: use the MA1506A π-Network jig when measuring crystal resonators with the MS4630B to apply the instrument's π-network calibration and eliminate floating admittance around the jig.
