The Advantest U3661 is a portable microwave spectrum analyzer that covers a continuous frequency range of 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz. At 8.5 kg or less for the main unit (10.8 kg or less with the battery pack), it is presented as the lightest-weight microwave spectrum analyzer in its class. The compact, lightweight design uses a three-way power source system that includes battery operation, making it an analyzer built for field measurement, and it carries a built-in RS-232 interface for personal-computer connectivity and flexible data management using standard memory cards.
The U3661 is intended for field maintenance of microwave radio facilities and for digital mobile communication work. Its measurement set spans adjacent-channel leakage power of radio facilities through to microwave device evaluation, and its functions support communication systems that use FDMA, TDMA, and CDMA access methods. An easy-to-attach strap lets the analyzer be worn on the shoulder and carried into the field, and the unit is built to satisfy vibration, shock, and drop-test requirements so it can be used under harsh field conditions.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received. That combination of on-hand inventory and used-unit verification lets engineers source the right configuration of this analyzer with confidence in its condition and availability.
Advantest Corporation traces its roots to Takeda Riken, a Japanese test-and-measurement instrument maker that adopted the Advantest Corporation name in 1985. The company remains headquartered in Tokyo.
