The Agilent E4430A — also designated the ESG-D1000A — is a digital RF signal generator that delivers a synthesized carrier from 250 kHz to 1000 MHz. It combines a frequency synthesizer, a calibrated output attenuator, and built-in analog and vector (I/Q) modulation, making it a single-box source for generating both unmodulated CW signals and complex digitally modulated waveforms.

With the optional internal I/Q baseband generator installed, the E4430A generates framed, digitally modulated signals conforming to the DECT, GSM (including DCS1800 and PCS1900), NADC, PDC, PHS, and TETRA standards. Frames and timeslots can be configured as different traffic or control channel types, and the data field of a timeslot accepts a user file, a PRBS pattern (PN9 or PN15), or external serial data supplied with the appropriate clock.

ValueTronics stocks and holds its own test and measurement inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every pre-owned instrument is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave the warehouse factory-sealed exactly as received — so buyers receive equipment that has been sourced, stocked, and handled directly by our own team.

Brand Heritage

Hewlett-Packard's test and measurement business was spun off as Agilent Technologies in 1999. That test and measurement operation was subsequently established as Keysight Technologies in 2014, the company that carries the lineage of these instruments today.
