The Chroma 62000H-S Series is a family of programmable DC power supplies with integrated solar array simulation, designed for testing photovoltaic inverters across residential, commercial, and utility-scale power levels. The series spans 0–150V, 0–600V, and 0–1000V output ranges with power per module from 2kW to 15kW in a 3U chassis, and supports Master/Slave parallel operation of up to ten units for configurations reaching 150kW. The Voc, Isc, Vmp, and Imp parameters can be programmed directly from the front panel to generate an I-V curve without a PC controller.

The 62000H-S Series is built for solar array I-V curve simulation in PV inverter development and verification. According to the datasheet, applications include designing and verifying the maximum power tracking circuit and algorithm of a PV inverter, verifying the high and low operating input voltage limits, verifying the high and low operating input voltage limits at the inverter's maximum power point, verifying static maximum power point tracking efficiency, measuring overall efficiency and conversion efficiency of the PV inverter, verifying dynamic MPPT performance against EN50530, Sandia, CGC/GF004, and NB/T 32004 profiles, simulating I-V curves spanning morning to nightfall conditions, verifying MPPT behavior under shaded array conditions, and running burn-in testing of inverters under simulated environmental conditions.

ValueTronics International has supplied new and pre-owned test and measurement equipment since 1992 from our 20,000 sq ft secure facility at 1675 Cambridge Drive, Elgin, Illinois. The Chroma 62000H-S Series is supported by our in-house inspection and test capability, with technicians who verify functional operation, document condition, and prepare each unit for shipment. Customers working on PV inverter development, compliance testing to EN50530 or Sandia profiles, or scaling solar array simulator capacity through Master/Slave configurations can rely on a US-based source with direct technical support and consistent post-sale follow-through.

Compare Other Models in This Series

The 62000H-S Series is organized by voltage range and power level. The family includes the 62020H-150S at 150V/40A/2kW for low-voltage PV inverter and module-level test, three 600V models (62050H-600S at 8.5A/5kW, 62100H-600S at 17A/10kW, and 62150H-600S at 25A/15kW) covering residential and commercial inverter ranges, and the 62150H-1000S at 1000V/15A/15kW for higher string voltage applications including utility-scale inverters and 1000V-rated PV strings.

All models in the family share the same I-V curve generation architecture (SAS Mode, I-V Program Mode, and Table Mode), the same EN50530/Sandia/CGC/GF004/NB/T 32004 dynamic MPPT test profile support, the same softpanel control interface, and the same standard USB/RS-232/RS-485/APG remote interfaces with optional GPIB and Ethernet. The differences across models are output voltage range, output current range, output power, ripple and noise figures, slew rate ranges, and rise/fall times — which scale with the physical power stage.

Each new model in the 62000H-S Series listed below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Selecting the model that aligns with the required output voltage, current, and power envelope is the first decision; selecting between new units is the second.

The primary differentiator across the 600V models is output power: 5kW (62050H-600S, 8.5A max), 10kW (62100H-600S, 17A max), and 15kW (62150H-600S, 25A max). All three share the 0–600V output range, the same voltage measurement accuracy (0.05% + 0.05% F.S.), and the same 600V output ripple specifications (1500 mV peak-to-peak voltage noise, 650 mV rms voltage ripple). Current ripple scales with current capability: 150 mA rms at 8.5A, 300 mA rms at 17A, and 450 mA rms at 25A.

The 62150H-1000S extends the family to 1000V output for higher-voltage PV string and utility inverter testing, with 15A current capability and 15kW total power. Compared to the 62150H-600S at the same 15kW power level, the 1000S has higher voltage ripple (2550 mV peak-to-peak vs. 1500 mV) and a faster voltage slew rate range (0.001V/ms–40V/ms vs. 0.001V/ms–20V/ms), as printed on the datasheet specifications table. The 62020H-150S is the low-voltage, high-current entry in the family at 150V/40A/2kW, with the lowest ripple figures (150 mV peak-to-peak, 15 mV rms) and a 1-phase AC input rather than the 3-phase input required by the higher-power models. See the comparison table below for the full per-model specification set.

Model Output Voltage Output Current Output Power
62150H-1000S 0-1000V 0-15A 15000W
62020H-150S 0-150V 0-40A 2000W
62050H-600S 0-600V 0-8.5A 5000W
62100H-600S 0-600V 0-17A 10000W
