The PSS-Series is a line of single-output programmable linear DC power supplies rated at 96 or 100 watts. Two models make up the series — the PSS-2005, delivering 0 to 20 V at up to 5 A, and the PSS-3203, delivering 0 to 32 V at up to 3 A — both built on a digitized programmable interface with a high setting resolution of 10 mV and 1 mA.
These supplies are intended for high-resolution bench-top and rack-mount work. Built-in RS-232C and optional GPIB interfaces, together with an SCPI command set and a LabVIEW driver, make remote control and automated test equipment (ATE) software development straightforward, allowing a unit to be integrated into an automated measurement system.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois, so the equipment we sell is on hand and under our control. Every pre-owned unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units leave the warehouse factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer.
The PSS-Series comprises two single-output programmable linear DC power supplies that share one chassis design, control interface, and protection set while differing in their output envelope. The PSS-2005 carries a 100 W rating and the PSS-3203 a 96 W rating, with each model targeting a different voltage-versus-current balance within a similar power class.
Both models use the same digitized programmable interface, LCD readout, intelligent fan control, and OVP/OCP/OTP protection scheme, so the choice between them comes down to the output range required rather than to a difference in features.
Each model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing for the pre-owned unit. Select the model whose output range fits your application, then choose the pre-owned listing that matches your budget and timeline.
The PSS-2005 provides a 0–20 V output at up to 5 A and carries the series' higher 100 W rating, with an over-voltage protection range of 0–21 V.
The two models diverge principally in their output ranges. The PSS-2005 supplies 0–20 V at up to 5 A (100 W) with an OVP range of 0–21 V, while the PSS-3203 supplies 0–32 V at up to 3 A (96 W) with an OVP range of 0–33 V. The comparison table below details the voltage, current, OVP, and power figures for each model.
Several specifications — including current resolution and certain load-regulation and accuracy limits — relax slightly for rated currents above 3.0 A, which applies to the higher-current PSS-2005.
| Model | Output Voltage | Output Current | Output Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| PSS-3203 | 0~32V | 0~3A | 96W |
| PSS-2005 | 0~20V | 0~5A | 100W |

Important: Only one remote interface can be installed at a time: ordering the Opt.01 GPIB interface (factory installed) deletes the standard RS-232C interface.
Recommended pairing: the GRA-408 Rack Adapter Panel adapts the supply for standard rack-mount installation, and the GTL-232 null-modem cable connects the RS-232C port to a computer.
