The PS300 Series from Stanford Research Systems is a line of high voltage DC power supplies with output capability up to 20 kV. Presented as rugged, compact, and reliable instruments for a wide range of high voltage applications, the series spans seven models with outputs ranging from 1.25 kV to 20 kV. With a GPIB computer interface and 0.001% voltage regulation, these supplies are positioned as an industry standard for high voltage power.
The PS300 Series is suited to both R&D laboratory work and automated test applications. Because every model is arc and short-circuit protected and provides separate programmable hard and soft current limits, the supplies can also be operated as constant current sources, extending their use across high voltage test setups.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Every used unit is inspected and functionally verified in-house before it ships, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received. That combination of held inventory and hands-on verification lets engineers source instruments like the PS300 Series with confidence in both availability and condition.
The PS300 Series comprises seven high voltage DC power supplies that share a common compact chassis and feature set while spanning outputs from 1.25 kV to 20 kV, positioned as rugged, compact, and reliable instruments for high voltage applications.
Across the series, two construction classes are offered: the PS310, PS325, and PS350 are dual-polarity 25 W supplies, while the PS355, PS365, PS370, and PS375 are single-polarity 10 W supplies. All models are arc and short-circuit protected and provide programmable hard and soft current limits.
Each model in the series below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the pre-owned listing for the specific output voltage, current, and polarity your application requires, and compare the models using the table that follows.
The models differ primarily in maximum output voltage, maximum current, and polarity. The PS310 delivers 0 to ±1.25 kV at 20 mA, the PS325 0 to ±2.5 kV at 10 mA, and the PS350 0 to ±5 kV at 5 mA, all dual-polarity. The single-polarity models reach higher voltages: the PS355 to −10 kV and PS365 to +10 kV at 1 mA, and the PS370 to −20 kV and PS375 to +20 kV at 500 µA.
Power class and interface fit also vary: the 25 W dual-polarity models offer GPIB as an option, while the 10 W single-polarity models include both GPIB and RS-232 as standard. Current resolution is 10 µA on the PS310 and PS325 and 1 µA on the remaining models. The comparison table below details the output, current, and interface differences for each model.
| Model | Output Voltage | Max Current | Output Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS375 | 0 to +20 kV | 0.5 mA | 10 W |
| PS310 | 0 to ±1.25 kV | 20 mA | 25 W |
| PS325 | 0 to ±2.5 kV | 10 mA | 25 W |
| PS350 | 0 to ±5 kV | 5 mA | 25 W |
