The AP034 is a high-performance active differential probe engineered to deliver high bandwidth, excellent common-mode rejection, and low noise in a single signal-conditioning accessory. It pairs an x1 gain front end with plug-on ÷10 and ÷20 attenuators, giving it a wide dynamic range for capturing both small differential signals and larger common-mode environments.
A differential probe lets an engineer measure the voltage between two points that are both floating above ground, without referencing either point to earth. The AP034's combination of low noise, high bandwidth, and clean phase response makes it well suited to disk drive design and failure analysis as well as wireless and data communication design. It also serves as a signal conditioner ahead of instruments with 50 Ohm inputs — such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and time interval analyzers — where the signal of interest is differential or high-impedance and would otherwise be difficult to measure directly.

Important: Low-frequency CMRR is reduced when using the AC coupling plug-on accessory.
Important: When used with a LeCroy digital oscilloscope, no external power supply is required. For use with other instruments (such as 50 Ohm spectrum and network analyzers, time interval analyzers, and others), the optional ADPPS Power Supply provides power to the AP034 and converts the output to a conventional male BNC connector.
