The Keysight Infiniium EXR-Series is a family of real-time oscilloscopes offered in eight models that range in performance from 500 MHz to 2.5 GHz, with four or eight analog channels and dozens of hardware and software options. Positioned as powerful, easy to own, and intuitive to use, the series pairs a 10-bit front end with a 15.6-inch full-HD touch display and a deep set of integrated measurement tools.
The EXR-Series documents a broad set of measurement applications. The Power Measurements package supports automated switched-mode power supply characterization — including input, switching-device, and output analysis plus frequency response analysis for control loop response and PSRR — while the Power Rail and PMIC integrity package targets power-supply-induced jitter and DC-rail noise. Protocol trigger and decode packages debug and test serial digital designs, and physical-layer tools address signal integrity on high-speed interfaces where eye diagrams close due to ISI, noise, and loss.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000 square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois. Pre-owned instruments are inspected and functionally verified in-house there before they ship, while new units ship factory-sealed exactly as received from the manufacturer — so buyers get equipment held and managed directly by our team.
The test and measurement business behind this instrument traces a well-known corporate lineage: Hewlett-Packard spun out its test and measurement operations as Agilent Technologies in 1999, and that business became Keysight Technologies in 2014.
The Infiniium EXR-Series is a single oscilloscope family spanning eight models, organized by bandwidth tier — 500 MHz, 1 GHz, 2 GHz, and 2.5 GHz — and by channel count, with both four- and eight-channel versions of each tier. Across the family the architecture is shared: 16 GSa/s sampling on every channel, a 10-bit ADC, 100 Mpts of standard memory, and a 15.6-inch full-HD touch display.
Because the series is fully upgradeable by license key, a four-channel, lower-bandwidth model can later gain bandwidth, additional channels, memory, integrated instruments, and analysis software without hardware replacement. This lets a lab buy for today's project and expand the same frame as requirements grow.
Each pre-owned model in the EXR-Series family below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the specific bandwidth and channel configuration you need to view its individual specifications and availability.
The models differ along two axes the comparison table makes explicit: bandwidth and channel count. Bandwidth runs from 500 MHz on the EXR05xA models to 2.5 GHz on the EXR25xA models, with corresponding typical rise/fall times that shorten as bandwidth increases, while channel count is set by the model suffix — a '4' for four channels and an '8' for eight.
Model numbers encode the configuration directly: EXR054A and EXR058A are 500 MHz, EXR104A/EXR108A are 1 GHz, EXR204A/EXR208A are 2 GHz, and EXR254A/EXR258A are 2.5 GHz. Sample rate (16 GSa/s), standard memory, resolution, and the integrated instrument set are common across the family; see the comparison table for the per-model bandwidth, channel, and rise-time figures.
| Model | Bandwidth | Analog Channels | Sample Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXR204A | 2 GHz | 4 | 16 GSa/s |
| EXR054A | 500 MHz | 4 | 16 GSa/s |
| EXR058A | 500 MHz | 8 | 16 GSa/s |
| EXR104A | 1 GHz | 4 | 16 GSa/s |

Important: Maximum input voltage is ±5 VMAX on the 50 Ω path and 30 VRMS or ±40 VMAX (DC + peak) on the 1 MΩ path; the included N2873A 10:1 probe supports 300 VRMS or ±400 VMAX (DC + peak). No transient overvoltage is allowed in either path, with or without probes.
Important: Combining two EXR-Series oscilloscopes for 16-channel Multiscope operation requires software revision 11.10 or greater and a separately ordered cabling kit.
Important: All EXR-Series models are calibrated to 2.5 GHz at the factory, so bandwidth upgrades require no further calibration outside the standard recommended interval.
Important: Channel upgrades from 4 to 8 channels (EXR28CH series) require return to a Keysight service center; the model and serial number are kept and the cost of upgrade does not include shipping.
Recommended pairing: the Keysight N7020A or N7024A Power Rail Probe works with the D9010POWA power and PMIC integrity package for measuring and analyzing power-rail noise and power-supply-induced jitter.
